Agreed. Jabari is a wannabe Stephen A Smith. I feel a lot of these guys aspire to get to the position that Stephen A has.
Jabari doesn't care about the players, he just wants to be close to them and make the most of it as a lot of those non-journalist leeching star players. These guys don't care about players lives or their future more than a drug dealer when he gets along with kids on a party. Say whatever has to be said so you can move up on the ladder fast and get a bigger check at the end of the month. Have you heard any of these guys saying anything about retired players? Secondary players? Undrafted guys? G-league players?
Don't go wrong there, Jabari and these parasites take advantage of the players they're supposed to defend.
And my opinion has nothing to do with the debate around if this should be a players league or not nor about the quality of the local press in San Antonio (that I don't particularly like).

How gullible is Nephew if this is the case? He saw firsthand how the Spurs always took care of Manu, Tony, and Tim. They took every precaution necessary to make sure those guys didn't come back too soon or had plenty of rest during the season. , they were even still offering him a max contract even after all of the shenanigans that he pulled this season.
