    From a strictly political point of view I think Nate make good points. Amy Coney Barrett is who the conservative base wanted in the first place and she would be a logical next choice to avoid another metoo smear campaign. Trump nominating her would certainly be a boost for conservative turnout in the midterms.

    Prove what? It's not possible to PROVE she's lying. Any alibi he might have - well it was a different day. And the threshold for being convicted of perjury will be "beyond a reasonable doubt". That's a very high threshold, so no prosecutor will bring the charges. Just like no prosecutor is going to bring charges against Kavenaugh.
