He got from under Popovich so he doesn’t have to hear how a coach “made him” for the rest of his career while being surrounded by fossils and guys looking for their last big pay day. Seems pretty smart to me.

I guess highlights don't show how bad he played those nine games. You say he wasn't injured, I respect your opinion but think the opposite. A player suddenly doesn't become a without an injury affecting his game.

Obviously your reading comprehension skills are very poor. I said he was 100 percent at the 8 minute mark which he was and which also coincides with his final games as a Spur. At the 8 minute mark he plays against the Suns and Nuggets in which the box scores show he is putting up his normal numbers for the minutes that he played. Kawhi wasn't efficient in the first several games but that had to do with rust mainly from not having his conditioning .I would say even the report card just shows he was rusty. He was terrible in 3 categories Off-the Ball Movement, Roll Gravity, and offensive rebounding. All 3 have to do with conditioning and rust. He had his mobility from what I saw. He made some amazing plays through out the video which you can't make if your quad is really ed up. Ironically he stopped playing once he was back to a 100 percent which happened after the Nuggets game.
Kawhi says he is excited to play with good defenders.

in 2 years when Derozan leaves due to his frustration of not having the ball in his hands while dealing with washed up Eruo trash, he's gone too. And we're gonna see the energy towards him. Not on this scale because you guys are a bit smarter than that, but it will be a stripped down version of it. This is 2018. I think we all agree with that, but his autocratic tactics finally have caught up with him and that's really the elephant in the room. He couldn't coach a team like GS. It's just not gonna happen. He could never coach a team like the late 90s bulls or early 2000s Lakers. Popovich is who he is and he's great for it, but once again, it's 2018. I'm a spurs fan, I don't care what Leonard does in Toronto, I'll only watch 2 of his games this year, but my problem is when a guy is praised for never saying anything and a lack of social media presence, then when it becomes apparent this is someone that popvoch can't crontol, the narrative is now ,"Leonard is a team cancer. He doesn't get along with teammates and he's destroying the team chemistry" and we all know it's ing bull . It just boils down to, popovich met a TOP player in the league that he couldn't control and he's a "lil bit" better than Stephen Jackson so you're just not gonna cut him.. Skip HOltz ed us and as soon as he left, due to connections of his dad, we never got any more games on ESPN again haha. I was upset he left because I was enjoying the exposure but that's his choice. And Skip was a cool dude too.

I typed that on an Iphone SE before I switched to the computer. With my big ass hands, I'm ALWAYS making errors in that little . Had it for years, no need to upgrade. Kawhi likes math, he can read plays fast...I would say he's so smart in logical-mathematic-reasoning terms. But he also likes music, modern architecture...That means he can enjoy other things in life than numbers.
What I find so funny about re-reading this article is that Jenkins -one of the few guys who could know something about Kawhi's private life- left SI.com this year to join....Clippers FO.
Or a player having issues to jump, run and shoot.
I guess he can have a great game or make a great play, the problem will be there next practice, next game...These type of injuries aren't linear, he can be fine one day and can have pain the next day.
