Although he wants the FBI investigation private, I guarantee you that results will be leaked. Just like that NYT article that pissed him off.![]()
And why keep it private anyway? The confirmation hearings were public. The FBI investigation results should be publicPERIOD.
Ten Items Corroborate Dr. Blasey Ford’s Allegation Kavanaugh Tried to Rape Her
10. Kavanaugh (and His Closest Defenders) Own Admissions
9. Kavanaugh’s Own Speeches
8. People Blasey Ford Told Over the Last 1/2 Dozen Years
7. Yale Roomates and Friends of Kavanaugh
6. Kavanaugh’s Yearbook Entries
5. Polygraph
4. Mark Judge’s Writings
3. Mark Judge’s Ex-Girlfriend Elizabeth Rasor’s Account
2. Two Other Credible Allegations From Other Women
1. Kavanaugh’s Own Calendars
I am completely baffled why,
outside of Philip Bump’s excellent articles on this yesterday here and here and here (and Bump is not always someone I agree with or find persuasive),
everyone isn’t camping out on the Calendar.
How in the world could someone who thinks he’s qualified for the Supreme Court willingly give up the most damning corroborating evidence of all,
somehow thinking it proves his innocence?
It’s a bit gobsmacking, to be honest.
The July 1 entry, in particular, that Bump has focused on, puts Kavanaugh with Judge, P.J. (whom Ford has named as at the party),
Squi (whom Blasey Ford says now she was going out with around that time), and a few other boys.
They were drinking (as Kavanaugh admitted “skis” meant with Cory Booker in the hearings).
It fits, as Bump noted, the timeline of six to eight weeks before Blasey Ford could have run into Judge at a grocery store later that summer.
Beyond the fact of all the rest of the corroborating evidence suggesting that Dr. Blasey Ford is telling the truth (where Kavanaugh’s honesty is questionable at best),
how can any decision maker in their right mind want to put someone
so terrible at evaluating evidence into a lifetime role on the nation’s most powerful court?

Trash, a man of great character and a wonderful judge of character, chose K as more of The Best People, overriding Repug leadership's choice.
Who is assaulting ducks?![]()
Amazing how TSA granades himself on a daily basis. You could maybe drop the assumptions and not look half as bad as you do every day, TSA.
Because - back in June or July - when the cover up began -
Rapey Brett was assured that the GOP was 100% committed to this cover up and that he would be sworn in as SC Justice in a few weeks.
It's over. Trump won this round. SMH
We don't need white ing males!
lol
because "gang rape" is ok!
No difference because Rapey Brett was not firmly accused of taking part in gang rapes. However - the victim that WAS gang raped says she was incapacitated by the " ed" punch that Brett and the Rapey gang used on their victims.
When she is interviewed - and if the FBI has a reasonable belief that her story is corroborated by other witnesses - and this points to criminal activity - they can absolutely proceed to follow the trail of criminality.
Rapey Brett might or might not have been in her "train" rape - but he might be implicated in attending or encouraging this type of activity.
Unless they are saying that Avenatti's client can not even be interviewed - which if that is the case -
we are back to "cover up" mode - this time by the white house.
I am sure Avenatti would love to go against Trump in that battle.
E-mails Show That Republican Senate Staff Stymied a Kavanaugh Accuser’s Effort to Give Testimony
Republicans on the Judiciary Committee claimed that they had tried in vain to secure more information about other accusations made about the judge.
“We were moving heaven and earth and even moving the schedule to get to the truth,” Senator Thom Tillis, of North Carolina, said.
“Every opportunity you have to go and question a witness, every opportunity that we’ve had to find more truth and to find more facts, we have done it.”
“My staff made eight requests—yes, eight requests—for evidence from attorneys for Ms. . . . Ms. Ramirez.” He added,
“The committee can’t do an investigation if attorneys are stonewalling.”
a Republican aide declined to proceed with telephone calls
and instead repeatedly demanded that Ramirez produce additional evidence in written form. Only then could any conversation about her testimony proceed.
The exchange culminated in a breakdown of communication between the two sides, as Republican and Democratic staffers traded accusations of stonewalling.
Clune answered the Republican staffer’s questions, suggesting that
Ramirez did, in fact, have additional witnesses and other evidence.
And, he said, of Ramirez’s willingness to testify to the committee’s investigators,
“We couldn’t answer without learning more from you about the details of whatever process you are contemplating.
After hearing more, we would advise the client accordingly.”
Davis then requested that Ramirez’s team provide evidence in the form of a letter, e-mail, or statement to the committee’s investigators before he would consider a call.
Clune continued to try to schedule a call with a Democratic staffer on the e-mail thread, but
Davis wrote back to him, saying that, “before we discuss a phone call or any other next steps, again, we need to have the following information,” and reiterated the two questions.
Heather Sawyer, the Democratic staffer who was copied on the e-mails in accordance with committee policy, wrote to Davis,
“As you’re aware, Ms. Ramirez’s counsel have repeatedly requested to speak with the Committee,
on a bipartisan basis, to determine how to proceed.
You refused.
I’ve never encountered an instance where the Committee has refused even to speak with an individual or counsel.
I am perplexed as to why this is happening here,
except that it seems designed to ensure that the Majority can falsely claim that Ms. Ramirez and her lawyers refused to cooperate.
That simply is not true.”

So the Repug side is into rat ing / dirty tricks to protect their POS K.
Time to trot her out onto the news network if I was Avenatti.
What seems odd is that everyone wants the FBI to do another investigation when they couldn't find anything the first 6 times. If someone failed you 6 times, why would you want to give them a 7th chance?
He said this morning he would do this if the white house obstructed the fbi.
New allegations surfaced after the background ck had been closed.

Good points. Avennati is gonna have to go rogue because no way will Trump let Avenatti's 2nd client be interviewed.
Gonna be interesting, but I don't like what I'm reading. We'll see how it goes.
Do you guys actually think kavanaugh ran a "rape gang" and a 19 year old went to these high school rape parties time after time and then on her 11th party got drunk/stoned and pulled the train herself?
Yeah I'm really interested to find out what impact this has on the midterms. Anecdotally, I know more than a few conservative leaning people who two months ago were pretty disinterested in politics/midterms and now they are ing pissed and chomping at the bit to vote. Dems might have gone too far trying to motivate their already motivated base and done more harm than good. Historically, midterm wave elections require one side to be motivated and the other to be apathetic. It doesn't feel like that will be the case after this show. Luckily we don't have to wait long to find out.
