He's not just slow as , he lost his shot too. 3-8 vs Blazers...He can't jump, can't hit 3's anymore. In nine games last season he made just 1 three-point shot...he can't make a single one yesterday.
I thought he would have one more season at some good level before his quad explodes, I was wrong. Sadly, he's done.
Will stop responding bc it frankly merits nothing else.
He hasn’t played real nba basketball so long. Plus we all should know by now that he takes a long time to find his rhythm after a layoff of even just 3 games so imagine the full year just about. Yeah he looks slow but eventually he’ll find his form again. And we need him to if we want that first round pick so I’m not rooting against it.
It's preaseason and guys don't go at 100 percent during the preseason. If he's still playing like this after 20 games then you could be right.
You've jumped the gun. Way too early to be coming to this conclusion.
This is like going to your ex's Facebook page and staring at all her pics with her new man. Not mentally healthy....
I'm neither White or from Texas, dumb ass. Spur fans, regardless of location and race, still feel hurt because he "stole" money from the organization, quit on the team and attempted to hurt the reputation of the medical/training staff.
So, I'll never look at Leonard the same way. He is a great, great talent and I'm proud of the time he spent here before it all went south. At the same time, I acknowledge that he's got a lot issues with how he and his "team" sees himself and his stature in the NBA.
I'm almost 100% certain these "issues" of "disrespect," the chronic injury and whatever else will come up again in his career.
James Evans is on that Black Panther BS. He believes Kawhi is Killmonger and the Spurs were T'challa.
No, I'm just not fond of certain people. That's all
He's destroying their lives
How is his tendinopathy doing?
CJ is getting paid to make sure Kawhi doesn’t leave... watching him overdoing it, acting all buddy buddy... it’s a little sad![]()
OMG No you didn’t

I think Kawhi likes his new team..seriously I've never seen that guy as happy. I think all those old corpses on Spurs probably got him down. I left my job recently for the same reason.
Agree. Seems there's a chance he'll stay there. The Raptors will probably go and throw everything just to let him stay and then there's Drake. After all, what their camp wants is money unless Clippers will be desperate to land him.
Lakers will probably lowballed him comparing to Raptors and Clippers' offer.
Well I kinda do support moving this thread to the general nba forum bc really this could go on forever like the Jimmer thread, long after the guy left the team it kept on going and going, and it just became annoying.
It's really out of topic for the Spurs forum now that the season started and is more of a curiosity.
Yea but the way kawhi left is saying something about the Spurs organization which is why this forum belongs. Danny Green also said that he played with a groin tear that the Spurs staff didn't detect. Kawhi looked rusty too (shots were flat). If he was truly healthy like everyone said than why is he so slow to get into game shape? The guy is supposed to be a gym rat and people were saying he was healthy since last year it doesn't add up.
Kawhi is fine don't be stupid. He's just rusty. Also Danny is an ass kisser media who is desperate for a media job once his career is over. He's going the Jax route to get that career which is throw the Spurs underneath the bus since the media hates the Spurs. One thing that has already been addressed about Danny's injury is that the Spurs told him not to play when he was experiencing pain and to get another medical opinion. Danny admitted to this and decided to play anyways.
RIGHT. I don't understand people still writing in this forum that still have not have made up their minds about two obvious realities:
1) Spurs have no interest in playing against their players for a number of reasons...and in fact around the league they have a very good reputation for that...they never overplay a player because they want to preserve his long time career and have been probably the first in nba to have this kind of approach in a clear way at the point to have their problems with Stern in the past. The long career of Tim, Gino and Tony is the clearest of the evidences about that. But at the same time they also respect, till a certain degree, the player's will to play and, above all, they usually trust the player about his phisical condition. They for sure used the same approach with Kiwhi...(see the Golden State play off series just for the maximum example of that, considering we were on play offs semi finals; plus the fact they gave his "group" the power to control his rehabilitation til it was obvious they were abusing this power at the expense of the team till the point it was impossible to trust them again) and Green (as Danny said, it was Danny decision to play also if the medical spurs staff told him not to because they detected the injury);
2) Spurs are, unfortunately, neither a big tv market nor a team that loves the "entertainment" or "gossip" part of the NBA game and business...and that leads to the media hates.
The amount of the media told us about the whole Kiwhi situation was incredible (see as the best example Chris Carter, to the point he was offensive to all of our staff and management)...and it still goes on, 'cause seems to be trendy to hire reporters that have bad feelings about our team and a tendency to limit all the Spurs accomplishments (last one was S. Jackson comparison between Timmy and AD).
The only response is the team and staff and management behavior...that's always been an example in a positive way or, better, in the "right way".
And that kind of behavior was so clear that also media "haters", at the end, have to recognize it, also if just for the reason that otherwise it would be impossible for them to have a minimum amout of credibility...
