immediately raised questions about his judicial temperament. he has one?

During his first set of confirmation hearings,

Kavanaugh had declared, “The Supreme Court must never, never be viewed as a partisan ins ution.”

Yet here he was now, hurling politicized vitriol.

Judith Resnik, a law professor at Yale, told the New York Times

his remarks were “partisan and not judicious.”

“Judicial temperament,

at its best, is a form of restraint that appears as an even-handedness of vision,

a thorough-going fairness that eschews anger in favor of reason and

clings to respect of all parties as an essential ingredient for the operation of justice.”

Certainly, Kavanaugh’s testimony did not meet those standards.

Kavanaugh explained the importance of judicial temperament.

He described the attributes required for a “good judge”:

to have the “proper demeanor,”

to keep “our emotions in check,”

to be “calm amidst the storm,”

and to “demonstrate civility.”

And, Kavanaugh added, “Don’t be a jerk.”

What Kavanaugh actually said about political power was this: “I don’t think we want judges commenting on the latest political controversy because that would ultimately leave people to doubt whether we are independent,”

What he said about whether a president can be subpoenaed is this: Can a sitting president be required to respond to a subpoena? “I can’t give you an answer on that hypothetical question,”

Ford is not being attacked, but the Democrats have certainly exploited her - including her own attorneys. SHE testified that she would rather have met in private in California, but unless she perjured herself, somehow she didn't know that was on the table. Feinstein wanted anything but for her to remain anonymous. She wanted the (36 year old, uncorroborated allegation without evidence to get AS MUCH TRACTION AND ATTENTION as possible - that is done by behaving exactly as she did.



The Republicans found out about the letter pretty much at the same time as everyone else - when the story was published. How could they rush the nomination before the allegation, when they didn't know it was out there? Once Feinstein got Katz involved, the objective wasn't protecting Ford's anonymity, it was hyper-publicizing her. Again, can you explain how Ford didn't know this could happen without her getting on a scary airplane and in front of the klieg lights?

1) So when he came out with his Trump 2016 election/revenge for Hillary rant - he pretty much made a political statement - meaning he just wanted to dissemble and avoid being truthful when he answered those questions under oath. He is a liar - under oath. When Bill Clinton was dragged through the mud - Kavanaugh sure thought a (D) President could be subpoenaed, amirite? So a liar and a right wing hypocrite.

2) Ford is being attacked - because Republicans are saying through the left side of their mouth that "she is credible" "she suffered" - and through the right side of their mouth - "there is no corroboration" "we believe Kavanaugh" "dems put her up to this" - It is simple - if she is credible - if you believe her - then the other cannot be accurate. So they don't have the balls to attack her directly - but instead they are attacking her credibility with their false claims that the Dems had some master plan. Worse - it was a GOP cover-up from the start so they are choking on their hypocrisy - as are you.

3) Oh we are finding out that they did not find out about the allegations the way they are saying - the 2nd allegation was being challenged by "Brett's team" before the story was revealed. I am willing to bet they also knew about Ford - but we have yet to see that surface - stay tuned. They were hiding do ents because they knew there was dirt on Kavanaugh and they hoped they could rush-confirm him BEFORE these allegations surfaced.

4) Ford already knew this would be a show - this is why she tried staying out of the limelight. She said she weighed how much she needed to stay hidden vs. how bad it would be to have a sexual assaulter on the SC. She went AGAINST her fear of flying - her aversion to the spotlight - this is called courage - to be scared of flying but still do it when necessary. She admitted that but your red glasses could not see that.
