Why? You can make awesome comic movies with the violence allowed in PG 13.
Venom is such an awesome character, I hate how bad they ed it up twice already.

The Entire venom line of plots should have 1 singular focus: Progressing towards a rated R Maximum Carnage movie. Period. Would be more epic than Logan if done properly.
If they build towards it, Holland would be a little older too, they could have him grow some chin stubble, him with broken ribs, hurt half the movie, get some sexy ass actress to play Black Cat, etc. Would be epic.
Ya, that's what I am thinking. Who does Venom even fight in this film. An origin film especially one without a super hero/villain should be dark and bloody - Rated R like Punisher. But of course they wanna sell action figures instead

Some critics give bonus points to films that include diversity or "break barriers" I understand if film is true story or based on specific historical event/time period and we are applauding the film for its accuracy
"Liking ty movies" is essentially what these critics are doing because for example seeing mixed raced faces on the screen brings joy to their lives

Never seen a Venom product that blew me away. Larger, more aggressive but not as powerful Carnage?
Venom is large and more aggressive and power powerful spiderman. You're supposed to be scared less of him, he's basically an alien monster spiderman.
THEN once you've built up and shown the audience the power of Venom, do you introduce Carnage, who is bat crazy, uber powerful, and makes Venom so scared and angry he has to enlist the help of Spiderman.
You can't just consider Venom as an en y in a Carnage universe, you gotta go chronological that's what made those classic spiderman arcs so great
