    Svi for 3 after 3 after 3...

20 out of 21 treys. Kid can stroke it.
I like his potential but Sasha "the machine" stroked em in practice like that according to reports. Impressive display though.

Good comparison. Svi will get a ton of open looks. The gravity Bron commands coupled with this team having 3 elite passers should get him a ton of open looks. All he has to do is knock em down.

He played well in SPL. But now even the regular season is the big stage here in LA now that we got Bron. We about to see if his summer success translates. Fingers crossed.

Shiiiiit, CN and the local farmhands... Always try to spin as far and as hard as they want. Clips have been a JV operation even when they were far superior talent-wise to the Lakers.
Now that we have Bron they like the Chargers a second class citizen in their own ing hometown. Lakers media day trends on Twitter...
Clippers media day is like high school D1 prospect announcing his intent to attend Duke in the fall.

We will win a chip eventually, Maginka and Bron have brought us back to relevance.

wow that was impressive, and he's 6'8". LBJ might like Svi a lot. Obviously unproven but damn that stroke looks great.

LeBron, Rondo, and Lonzo aren't the only ones who can dish:

Our versatility, length, and team speed will be a problem for a lot of teams. Our Shaqtin a fool center has power forward speed and small forward leaping ability.

Javelle might lead the league in FG% frfr

This year is about team chemistry and advertising for the next superstar. I’m not expecting more than some noise in the playoffs.

Its still an interesting year and anything can happen but team needs better shooting and rebounds.

I think we will rebound fine.
I think we need a back up center with some size.
    Long term, anotehr star.
IF Ingram is your third best player you are probably a legit le contender.

Lakers must be so proud playing with their starter to close out the 4th quarter against the King's back ups. Biggest win of the season.

    Bitter much, Cav fan?

You do realize we are running a slightly different offense, right? Gonna take some time for players to get used to it. Besides, Ingram, who just turned 21, will need the reps to grow into the Kang's 1st Lieutenant.

Ingram (and all other Laker players) will definitely benefit playing off of the Kang, as I predicted when he signed a 4-year deal. And before you say his 31 point night was a fluke, Ingram dropped 32 on KD and a healthy Dub squad last year.

You saw last night why we didn't trade him for Paul George or Jimmy Butler. In all fairness, I believe he would be a Spur right now if Pop offered up Kiwi, but still...He coming tho.

Lebron is on cruise control so are Lakers ...but ...

    My concerns so far:
    1. Perimeter defense no one seems to be playing any outside of Ingram and Lance ... Hart and KCP need to be much better.
    2. BAckup center . Zubac played better today and i get small ball is in vogue, but I still think we need and active back up big man.
    3. 3pt shoooting is still an issue.
    4. Kuzma is pressin' he wants to be a star so baaad and I respect his desire but he needs to slow down a bit
    5. KCP i s starting the year slow (again) I ahted him the first 30 games last year but he got so much better after his court case ...hope he figures out earlier

    Positives:
    1. even at half to three quarters seped Lebron still looks good ...
    2. Rondo has been even better than I hoped. HE will not only mentor Lonzo but his impact will be significant for Ingram, Kuz and even Lebron
    3. Its only pre-season ...because based onour play we look like a bottom 8 playoff team

I expect Lakers to be much better come playoffs than we will be to start year ...

    Great post Killa. Agreed 100%.

I think they are all cruising. Luke's tinkering with lineups, building chemistry, putting players in different scenarios (i.e. Ingram as our closer last night with Bron on the sideline cheering him on, etc.). Couple more observations:

    1) Our perimeter defense will be better this year. As much as these farmers heap on him for his shot, not much can be said negatively about Lonzo's defense. I watched him vs the likes of John Wall, Chef, etc. He more than held his own.

    2) I think Hart will start at SG. His defense is suspect (gets a lot of ticky tack BS fouls), but he is a decent 3pt shooter, he's a bull on the boards and as a finisher. He is not afraid to mix it up. His handle is improved as well - which allowed us to get away with starting Ingram at PG and rest Rondo the whole game.

    3) JaVelle McGee is not the complete knucklehead people make him out to be. His speed and keaping ability allows him to finish over most centers in the league. And he runs like a gazelle. I am also worried about the backup center spot. Zu showed some flashes last night but I need to see more. May have to pick up a backup center around December or so for stretch run.

    4) Bench play. When Zo is starting, our 2nd unit will be anchored by Rondo, Kuz, KCP and believe it or not, Lance. My hope is that Rondo will optimize Zu by putting him in position to succeed. Ditto for Beasley who flashed a bit last night.

    5) Back to Ingram. Sacramento is stocked with lotto talent (but they are young and inexperienced like Lakers the last 5 years). Ingram was clearly the 2nd best player out there behind LBJ (sure Fox got hot, but he won't go off like that if Lonzo and Rondo played). Down the stretch Ingram took over. Defensively and offensively. Bron gave him his props too, which was encouraging.

    6) Kuz playing with Rondo will calm him down and allow him to be in positions to succeed. Rondo has a rep of being a great influence on young players which is good. Kuz is uber confident, but took too many ill advised shots. Gotta let the game come to him.

    7) KCP off the bench will be an asset. His energy is phenomenal and only adds to our overall team speed. We should be top 3 in fast break points this year.

Early litmus test is coming next week. Although it's preseason, we play the champs B2B. I don't want to read into it either way, but state a fact: we were very compe ive vs. Dubs last year without a star. Ingram even dropped 32 on KD. I'm not gonna make any predictions (LkrFan curse ) other than to say that the 2018-2019 Lakers will be fun to watch and compete their asses off.

Ingram is gonna be good, real good.
He is just more Pippen than Kd.
People need to stop comparing them because both are skinny
If skinny players are the comp than heTayshaun with better offense or KD with less range and skill
    But he gonna be nice.

Yep yep. I don't see Ingram as the scorer KD is. If he grew into Pippen (my favorite non Laker of all-time) I'd be ecstatic. Pippen was a true swiss army knife. Ingram is the perfect 3rd option. If we can land a 2nd option this summer, our chances for contention skyrocket IMO.

Ingram shows flashes but still too inconsistent. He's making strides and LBJ believes in him which should boost his confidence.
