It feels like it. We should open each season against mid-major scrubs at home to decrease the possibility of a ridiculous fluke loss like that.
If Texas keeps winning and takes the big 12 championship, I think they'll be just fine.

Had we won in a blowout, I feel we pas OU, but when they came back and forced the last drive fg, I knew we would still be lower because of the Maryland game
Mehhh y’all are over thinking this way too much. If we lose this is a firestorm and y’all are ready to fire everyone and dismantle the team. Now we get the win we wanted and really needed and some of you are worried about how it looked and how it coulda been better. Get over yourselves and enjoy the win. Every coach in America that recruits the state of Texas feels it's in their best interest to push UT down. Texas coming back will be bad for the SEC so they are going to push harder than others to keep Texas down.
RB Zach Evans is not committing any time soon. A certain Ag out there, not to be mentioned, was leading people to think that it may happen soon.

We are back. I feel very strongly we will lose again but think about this season unfolding. We are absolutely abysmal the first game. Almost as bad the 2nd game against a weak team. We beat a down USC team at home. But we spotted them points and dealt out a 4th quarter death blow. We finally beat TCU spotting them the lead and again dealing a 2nd half death blow. We go up against KSt. relax, then deal a 6:24 drive death blow not giving them a chance to fulfill a comeback. Winning in a place we can’t. We do the same to OU, just get kicked around the end of 3rd and most of the 4th but when it must happen, a scoring drive to win the game. We just did it. With confidence like we were supposed to.
We have so many areas to improve yet we are winning? We are actually winning? We don’t need our A game to win because we have not played a full A game yet. We are just falling asleep for an entire 1/4 of a game and still winning.
Ill take it.
What iI would like to see is first 3/4 of a game 40 pts in the lead, and let some of other guys get some time. I wanna see Shane again. I wanna see our Georgia RB play if he has been putting in effort and playing well during practice. I want some rewards for kids that “might be important next year games” or just deserve some time for their efforts.

From reading several sites, every win Texas has things move more and more in favor for Bru to the good guys. I'm not saying Texas is leading, but it's closer to 50-50 than I thought it would be at this point (gut feeling). Just keep winning!
Also of note.... EJ did mention an Ag commit has recently reached out to Texas, FWIW.
