Hopefully the talk of them supposedly not looking to do anything at the moment is because they're waiting for final cuts over the next 5 days to have their pick of the litter of inexperienced types.

They don't need a body to play, but they do need one for depth/emergency and it needs to be a true PG.

That 41 may have been more impressive if they didn't get thrashed so badly.

I’d take him over Forbes, TBQH.

Too bad D’Antoni signed him to a max deal after the game.

It’s what I am hoping too. Like a Quin Cook... they need a prospect that can bail them out if there’s need.

41 points is still a lot of points. How efficient was he in scoring? 40 field goal attempts. His team only made 5 3 pointers.

Rockets BTW hit 28 3 points.

    Just a massive talent disparity.

I think they sink or swim with what they've got. No one available is going to move this team into a contender. Unless someone is available who PATFO are intrigued by their long term potential, I fine with rolling with what they have. In doing so we'll know about White and Forbes games. I suspect in the negative, but time to find out

I never understood why Nando de Colo didn't work out better here. He seemed like a great fit at the time.

He just was the odd man out as I recall. We had so many PGs then: Tony, Gary, CJ, Patty. There just wasn't room enough to play all of them and I think Nando got bored and frustrated. He preferred to ask for a trade than wait it out.

One story had it that Nando was too light to handle the physical contact in the NBA. But I dunno.

I think the Spurs need a defensive wingman more than anything, now.

Well, Lindsey Hunter is retired so he doesn't have to relive that nightmare.

    None.
Once Walker returns, Spurs will have plenty of combo guards to put out there, no reason those young guys can't play 35 minutes a game and get all that experience before 2019-20 season, in which the Spurs might actually be good.
