They told him not to show up to media day at least. I would assume the same goes for camp. They are trying to trade him, so it's not like this is a one-way beef. Thibs obviously only cares about the present, so he's not about trading Butler if he can help it. He was on the Boston staff that won a le despite Allen hating Rondo and the others. He probably feels like Towns and Butler should move past their beef and try to win. Neither guy seems built that way.
I think its partly he doesn't like the younger guys soaking up all the attention and being babied while they still suck AND he wants to make sure they offer him a max contract or else he loses money next free agency.
thanks for the opinion. I haven't really kept up with the Butler issues since I doubted Spurs trade for him, but surely money was part of it. And he'd be right. He's more of a max player than the other two guys... Wiggins specially.
This whole situation may have just made this TWolves team much more dangerous. Dammit. And I had already crossed them out of the running for a playoff spot.
Butler will take the Twolves third stringers and obliterate the current no defense Spurs.
