I look at it this way: the Spurs were not winning a championship with or without Parker, so why not let Murray & White get more minutes to see how much they can grow? I'm a big Parker fan, but at a certain point you just have to admit that a 36 year old PG with a few years of declining efficiency already is not a wise investment.
It was time to move on and give the young guys an opportunity. Sounds like Pop was honest with Tony about that. Tony didn't want to be a Steve Smith or Kevin Willis coaching from the bench. He still wanted to contribute on the floor...can't blame him for that. On a team like the Hornets he'll probably get to do just that. I'll always be a Parker fan.

It probably sounded better in your head and in theory but Unfortunately, we both know that most, if not all of Tony's minutes will be deferred to Bryn Forbes who is even less deserving of minutes and opportunities.

    I forgot about Forbes. I hope you’re wrong...but you’re probably not.

Couldn't hear you while you were gargling Apa's balls. Might need to take them out of your mouth so I can hear you tbh.

I am absolutely sure that had Tony re-signed with the Spurs he would play.

    The difference an offseason makes....

Point guard was our deepest position and now is the weakest with Parker gone. Shooting guard was our weakest last year, now our strongest with Manu gone.

    You gotta wonder....

    his preseason shooting:
    0 for 3
    4 for 6
    0 for 2
    1 for 4

the hornets' other back up pg led the team in scoring tonight on 86% shooting along with 4 assists and no turnovers.

Odd. In another thread you and your cats were talking about "we" in reference to the Spurs.

Eventually, the "lights" can't cut back on. Tony is probably at that point.
