Spurs don't really have any tradeable contracts they'll entertain parting with. So we're looking at min contracts. Dunno of such a guard who'd make sense.
Technically Manu's 2.5 mil contract can be used, right?

I wouldn't want the Spurs to trade for any expiring or quasi-expiring player like George Hill or Cory Joseph or Patrick Beverley even.

Without Murray any hope of a miracle le season is over. No sense burning assets to get guys that will either be gone or too expensive to be duplicative next year when Murray is back.

Even trading a second would be troublesome, because the Spurs could still get a decent pick in the second round.
Only trading for spencer dinwidie makes sense, as he's versatile player who can play 2-3 positions and can be an upgrade even when all injures come back next year if we keep

Maybe. They almost certainly waived him, but if they haven't, it would explain they only carried 19 guys at most during camp.

Jarrett Jack got waived today, I wouldn’t mind taking a flier on him. He’s a true facilitator

Very gimpy. No. But doesn't Pop have some prior history with Jack?

No idea. I’ve always been a fan of jack, he plays real uptempo I think he’d be a fine addition considering what’s out there.

Jack has always been tough, but injuries have taken their toll. I don't really want another guard. I would rather bring in a good SF that is not a stop-gap and could be a long-term solution to the SF problem.

Unfortunately we might have to wait till February to find a SF and next summer to hopefully draft a SF of the future. Let’s hope we’re able to secure that other first round pick.

Since we have a woman coach, could we take a wnba player? is that legal?

Lindsay whalen is the wnba wins leader and recently retired. i think she could be as good as mills on defense but sadly she's not the shooter we really need.

No point in trying to bring in any of those pgs at this point in the season. We need a plug and play 3 and D SF thats better than what we currently have. One more injury then we bring up Johnson or Hanlan until we find a suitable replacement. Til then we still have 4 gaurds for 2 positions.

I like Tim Frazier. If he’s the guy I think he was GLeague MVP 2 or 3 seasons ago and has some experience, played in the Wizards and Pelicans iirc. Surprised he’s not on some team somewhere even as a 3rd guard. He’s good enough to be in a roster and is a good facilitator.
I saw that he was in the Bucks for preseason.

He’s still with the Bucks. Last spot will be between him and Christian Wood.

The team needs a lot of time to gell together and get back that motion offense. You just cannot insert some random call-up dude and expect it to work.

The best that happens now is a tag team point guard position.
