Who gives a about the system? If a guy can bring it up the court without turning it over then that's good enough.
Garret Jack got waived, I would grab him. I know he isn't a defender, but at this point, the Spurs are going to have to out score opponents.

Really probably prefer a shooter to that kind of distributor, and Jack still would probably want a bigger role than the Spurs would be prepared to give. If the Spurs get another injury maybe; otherwise another combo guard gunner just happy to be there like Andre Ingram would do for cheap insurance.
I'd make a deal for McCaw. The Warriors may want to keep him but don't need him. If the Spurs thought he could help them make the playoffs a lotto protected 1st might not be a bad deal. It's not a deep draft. Can it be a pick between 15-44.
I think Isiah Taylor could be a nice pickup for depth but he is hurt too.
That would be disaster striking the Raps.
Forget about DeColo, he’s under contract with CSKA Moscow, playing the starting PG and a leading role.
The team desperatedly needs a true PG until White is back. This player must, at least, run the fast break, take the ball to the offense, call the plays and play some defense. Given the current cir stances, we can’t expect a great player. Spurs can’t barely trade players until December-January and there isn’t any available money to sign anything but a vet for the min or a questionable young project waived by his team.
Too o many people around here is showing no knowledge at all about Spurs basketball. Our team NEEDS a real PG; even a mediocre PG would be helpful for the next weeks.
Garret, Jack >>> Garrett, Jason
Wood make Bucks roster so frazier will be available. Not a bad option.
Thanks for the update. Tim was my candidate. He’s a good facilitator but not a good enough shooter so perhaps he’s not in the Spurs radar... or perhaps they go for a wing instead... if they can find one/

If Jack could be signed for a reasonable $ amount, I'd go w/ him if nothing better can be had..
Ty Lawson - he's had enough trouble in his life to have "gotten over himself", and he's been good at just about every stop in his nba career (except Houston). He the kind of drive to the basket lead guard that Pop likes.
Take this with a grain of salt - could be a trainer of Lawson, caption states he has workouts with Suns, Pelicans, and Spurs.
Beno played for a Lithuanian team last year and since his stint with the Spurs has been like that Johnny Cash song. He is 36 yo.
I can't see any major guard coming here knowing the Spurs have two first round picks with dibs on the position.
I wouldn't mind bringing Ty Lawson in. If his problem with alcohol is behind him and he's truly trying to leave that behind, I wouldn't mind having him on the team to try and recapture some of that potential he once had.

Read an article from Air Alamo where they were quoting Sam Amico who reported that Patrick Beverley would be one of the players that the Clippers would move at Monday night's trade deadline. He just came off a knee injury himself. He's definitely a great defender and a decent scorer as well. The only thing that the article did not address was who would the Spurs use to pull off a trade with the Clippers? The article did mention something about the Spurs' 1st round pick from Toronto and their 2nd round pick. Having Beverly on this team would help with the defense issues as well as ad some scoring punch to the lineup. I'd be surprised if the Spurs were to do that but if they were to, at what cost? Or from the Clippers' perspective, what would they be willing to trade Beverly for? Would they just take picks? Looks like he's listed as a combo guard who is 30 years old, and his salary is 5.5 million from last season. Hmmm... sounds like a great dream, but the Spurs just might stand pat with what they have, but all we can do is dream... GSG!!!
Just saw that the bucks waived Tim Frazier. He had a pretty good run with the Pelicans a few years back I believe.
