They claimed to be attacked first. A little restraint would go a long ways though. Antifa vandalized the establishment before the event and sent a threatening letter. Antifa could very easily have started the fight and got their ass beat. Of course I don't support kicking defeated people while on the ground.

If they attacked first people are likely to go overboard. And there were proud boys yelling "stop" at the other proud boys. So basically a statistical certainty given all the factors. The main unknown is who started the fight. Whoever did that is most to blame.

If group "a" is attacked by group "b" after group "b" vandalized and threatened group "a" it is a statistical certainty someone or a few people from group "a" will go overboard when beating up the weak of group "b". However there will also be people from group "a" yelling at others to "stop" and attempting to break things up. As you see in this case.
