Of course they were going to say that when the Lakers and Clippers were offering garbage and everyone else in the conference was scared off. Oh well, they're probably better off with DeRozan than had they made a trade with LA back when the Lakers could have offered the #2 pick since I imagine the Spurs would have picked Josh Jackson over Tatum.

I agree Lonzo's ceiling is pretty high but his dad killed his trade value. No one wants to deal with that circus for someone who is not even an all-star yet. After how disastrous Rodman's end was in San Antonio I can't imagine Pop would ever want to take that kind of gamble again. And especially not when Ball isn't the all-star Rodman was.
