It is so strange because I talked a ton of about him the last few months. But watching him play I don’t totally hate the guy. I mean he grew up in a Spurs uniform..

it’s kind of hard to totally hate the guy. It just sucks how things worked out.

If Toronto were to play the Dubs or Lakers or Rockets (all teams I loathe) in the Finals, I'd root for any of them over the Raptors. And my only hesitation would be out of loyalty to Danny.

I get a different feeling when I watch him then you do. I only saw the last few minutes of this game but to me he will always be a s bag in my eyes. I judge people by their actions and his actions last year with sitting out and faking the injury along with having his media cronies ala Jax,Carter, Jalen Rose tearing down the spurs were beyond reproach.

I can't believe teams passed on trading high bust potentials like Fultz and Ingram for a top 5 NBA player, proven playoff performer, and 2x DPOY.... who is only 27. Even the Celtics could have dealt Jaylen Brown just to secure their finals spot.

When every team is so dumb, no wonder Spurs's best offer was DeRozan + not even the best prospect on the Raptors.

Kawhi got out of 2nd gear for a few moments. Danny’s 3 ball looked good today. The combined run down on Tatum was pretty good tbh lol. Even Serge looked like TD today. Boston just realised all the speculation about Kawhi coming out of the East just got very real lol.
I have no problem whatsoever with Kawhi making Boston regret not trading for him and thinking their roleplayers are better than him.

Celtics are done. They're some pups + Malik Rose (Horford) and Stephon Marbury (Irving). Hayward looks like a s of his former overrated self. I say it will look like this in the East playoffs:

    Indiana/Toronto ECF

    2nd tier teams
    Boston/Milwaukee/Miami/Cleveland (maybe)/Detroit (maybe)/Philly
Good guesses Phx... your nostradamus powers are good.

Said no one ever. They didn't trade for Leonard because they didn't want to give up assets for a rental.

I hear you. Especially if he is healthy the entire season, it is painfully obvious that he simply faked the whole thing.

Oh I totally get it. And I talked a ton of about him all last year when this bull was playing out. It’s hard for me to see him playing at such a high level in another uniform. Kind of mixed emotions because I was once a huge fan of the man. But he certainly on a lot of fans with that bull last year. It’s tough.

If he faked the whole thing, he wouldn't have come back for nine games.

I have no problem with Kawhi making them regret that too. heh
I am actually very happy for the Raptors fans if they can kick the eastern conference ass this season. No reason to hate them tbh

Philly could’ve made the east a 3 team race, instead their miles behind
that too. I imagine Kiwi looks forward to kicking their asses too.

    that sucks tbh.

I regretted him being a and no one gave him more credit than me about his injury except the kiwifanboys... I also thought until the day it happened that RC was doing everything he could to keep him... you know how I was about the whole thing. Got my own share of spurfans hating on me bc of it.. but now that he's moved on, this is basketball.

I am actually glad a good team that's not GSW or Lakers/Bron is worth watching. I always watch my Spurs, but this is an injury ridden season and since they aren't contending I can have other faves. It's good for the sport.

What's more sucks for the Celtics? Passing on Giannis at 14th pick or passing on Kawhi when they have the chance to trade for him?

kawhi like this would of made them a lock for the Finals and serious threat to the Warriors.

Too early to say if the Celtics will regret not trading for Kawhi. If the Celtics end up beating the Raptors in the playoffs then there is no regret. If Kawhi leaves the Raptors to go LA then there still won't be any regret since he would have also left Boston. Only way I see Boston regretting not trading for Kawhi is if Kawhi stays with the Raptors long term.
