Only trying to justify Kawhitter, also known as greedy uncle actions and build his image at Spurs image expense. It’s all about the money period. Blah blah blah

Being in the army, I can say it kinda is.. Nephew is the dude we soldiers call the bag, or blue falcon. “Oh, we got detail? I have an appointment”. More fitting, “yeah sarnt, I can’t do pt, I’m on profile”

I just hope that anything and everything that could have been done to sweeten the deal to Kawhi and his ty people were tried to exhaustion. Your uncle want that sweet, high paid - no show gig?? Done... You want the organization to invest more into your image and marketability?? Done... More minutes? Bring back Simmons?? I mean go totally all out as if your team's success completely relies on sealing the deal.

Is it completely against the Spurs way, completely against Spurs culture? Probably, but half of the concessions with the iron dome surrounding the FO would never make the papers, and at worst you give in for a few years at most and I don't think it sets a precedent for the future since most top 3 players aren't really trying to hard to get to the Spurs anyway so it'd be more of a one and done.

Maybe it was done exactly like that and there was nothing that could be done to save it, but I doubt we'll really ever get some 100% unbiased truth about everything. I just hope it wasn't some stupid pride that the Spurs way would be seen as damaged by others so they were scared to really give into their star. I say whatever concessions but I don't mean like something that would bankrupt the organization or something completely insane because I doubt that would be what they'd ask for... The Duncan's and Robinson's are dinosaurs, and a lot of star players are probably ty off the court and coddled to but if they are the difference between championship or bust I mean ffs, look the other way for a few years and do what you can. There is a difference between a John Wall making crazy demands and a Kawhi Leonard. I'll probably be forever frustrated at this situation.

Lol don’t buy it for a second. Timmy and Manu Or be loved by their teammates. Nobody hated them, and nobody had a reason to. To suggest that all their teammates are glad they’re gone is just re ed and wreaks of a writer trying to grab headlines.

what if Kiwi's people went to PATFO and said i'll sign if Pop retires as coach?

the days of militant, hard-ass ego driven coaches are over and dead tbh. you'll never see another pop or sloan or larry brown ever again in this league. Even Kerr and Stevens just sit there and kiss their players' asses when push comes to shove.

Soooooo Kawhi legit faked or over exaggerated his injury...

That’s all that BS confirms to me....

The Spurs are not the Warriors....they came up in two different eras and by two different ways..

Things started to change when people starting comparing the TWO during the Warriors 73-9 run. Except one team was on its last leg (Duncan, Parker, Manu) yet fairly new with LA and the true emergence of Kawhi..

Again the Spurs have dealt with so much more adversity than any team the last couple years..yet trying to meet the high bar and standard winning the Ship in 14’ and being the most compe ive when healthy against the Warriors...

They got screwed by KD, Zaza and The Mute and tbh unless you form a BFF Super Team it won’t be easy to truly compete.

Just be thankful Spurs aren’t laying down like some of y’all want them to...don’t worry tho your time will come and this board along with the trolls will fall apart because the “false expectations” will no longer exist

Jabari is clearly angry about something. He needs to say whatever it is that is bothering him, make his thoughts known and get back to covering sports. Do we have to endure years of sniping and criticism from this guy? If he wants out of covering San Antonio, apply for a new job and change cities. This guy needs to be a professional, after all being a professional is his job.

I actually thought about that a while ago. Players praise pop, but absolutely no one is trying to come here and play for him haha. It seems that players get a level of confidence that we haven't seen when they leave here. Baynes isn't playing great, but he's relaxed on the court and doing things in Boston that would have got him benched for 5 games. They aren't making mistakes and looking at the bench in fear of being taken out.

LMFAO,It's obvious the Spurs system works...
Best record of any major sports,5X 'ships etc
You name it the Spurs own it

All without paying luxury tax or bending over to total s of humanity
Or giving service to the NBA hype machine

Kawhai Leonard OTOH,knows nothing of it,he only rode Timmy to a ring as an undeserving FMVP
When he had the chance to be a GOAT,he folded like a Kmart deck chair.

Spurs are the only NBA team I follow, after Pop goes I'm done
As long as the Spurs don't become a 3 pt grubbing foul line seeking show like the rest of the NBA I'm OK with it

Probably chose not paying the luxury tax over keeping Leonard. I wonder how that's working out. Oh, and while Young may not be liked or trusted. He didn't mention anything that hasn't already been mentioned before.
