I think I'd rather have the lottery balls... This roster is ugly, and it will not win in Rd1 without a huge transformation... Which is OK, without said transformation, we won't be there.

I don't think you can say after 4 games with so much turnover from last year and the previous years.

I think so. The defense is really bad, but there are OBVIOUS improvements they can still make. Can Pop get everyone to buy in? Will the team be willing to make a trade to improve their personnel? How much can White and Walker help? Those are the pivotal questions. They need at least one of those to be favorable for them to make it, maybe two.

Tough to say right now. If they had lonnie, murray and white still playing I think they would of as a 4-7 seed. There's just too many younger and hungrier teams out there right now for the spurs to keep up. They might be able to sneak in if other teams get injured as an 8 seed.

Yes. The offense is not bad and they can still tweak. White/LW4 will be back in 2 months should help the defense. Pop is still tweaking the right combinations. Spurs should be okay when everybody’s back. Even 2 or 3 if luck goes their way. I don’t see Houston as better. Lakers is better but still 5-6. OKC is hurt. Donovan will be highly scouted. Denver is playing good. But I think Spurs has experience and chip on their shoulder that should carry them to the playoffs.

I don't think they will. The west is too stacked. I thought it was guaranteed before the injuries but without Murray our defense is all time bad and with no PGs for who knows how long spurs may tank early and never recover. At least we'll probably get a lotto pick and another pick from Toronto

No: Lakers, Warriors, Blazers, OKC, Nuggets, Rockets, Jazz, Wolves, Pelicans, Memphis all will have better record, that's 10 teams ahead of SAS.

Hmmm.... Lakers, Warriors, Blazers, OKC, Nuggets, Rockets, Jazz, Wolves, Pelicans - 9 teams with more talent than Spurs.

It's just not likely... this is very sad that Spurs will be out of the running after 2 decades of excellence. The personnel just isn't there to really compete.

Not if White Walker miss the full 8 weeks. If they're both back in 5, maybe 6, then maybe

It's like asking, will Patty Mills be worth his contract?

If he is, they'll make it.

    If he's not, they won't

Plus all the wear and tear Aldridge and DeRozan will suffer, and their rest games ...

To suggest White and Walker will impact/improve the roster in a positive way is a bit misleading. They've proven nothing at the NBA level. Being better than Paddy Mills is easy. Being the deciding factor whether this team makes the playoffs or not is another thing.

    True. They will

    As fans, we never learn.

After a good start last season, they were 4-4 losing 4 games in a row...Fans panicked

In the last month they lost to scrubs on the road, Hawks, Lakers...Fans panicked.

Now, after only 4 games and a loss vs Pacers...we like "they won't make POs"...Do you realize that Utah is 2-2-, Houston 1-3..

    Relax. Spurs are fine.

I've seen enough of White to be confident that he'll be a positive contributor. Walker less so but only because Pop won't play him.

Any above replacement level player contributing 25+ minutes will be a big help to a team this shallow
