Mbah a Moute bad first game with the Clippers. Ariza balled out.

Maybe we can flip Forbes for LMAM if they head in opposite directions. Clippers might take the bait.

Gasol and Mills are like our only tradable asset for a few months at least. And they not really tradable.

Same. Really no one out there and the only asset we have is not worth giving (1st) for a rental or someone who hasn’t been through camp. Just got to weather the storm. Hopefully white can stay healthy. Hopefully Walker can too..

Cleveland is all ready starting “We getting number one draft”. Almost as bad as the Raiders.

if we could somehow get George Hill from them and offload Mills. Only 1 million of those 19 million are guaranteed next season. Would free up cap space and give us a defensive perimeter player who can run point. Bertans, Mills and the Toronto pick for Hill

I don’t like to give up 1st for Hill. He’s just gonna take minutes from White and LW4 when they come back. Spurs need a 3nD. Huestis would be good if he can learn to shoot consistent 3’s.

It's not about that, it's about freeing up cap space for next season. There are so many great 3-and-D options in free agency that it makes sense to get under the cap. Moving Mills and Bertans for Hill would free up 19 million. Waive Gasol and it's 35 million.

So in your plan the Spurs would lose two assets for one, lose a 2019 pick, then cut that only asset we received the following year. After that we would cut Gasol, another asset, and sign some mystery free agent to San Antonio. By far the riskiest move the Spurs would ever make considering the biggest free agent signing ever was probably Aldridge. So who is this free agent you’re willing to risk four assets and a pick for?

Bertans, 50 Mills and a second round pick, and I am all in

No way, even Luke Walton is a better NBA coach than Lue. They never should have fired Blatt, they still would have ringed in 2016 with either Blatt or Lue.

Actually it makes more sense to send Mills and Pondexter to Phoenix for Ariza, since they already talk about wanting to move him. It's not 1 free agent. I'd love Middleton. But Demarre Carrol/Danny Green/Ariza/Millsap/Stanley Johnson are all good options. I would try to sign 2 of them and draft an SF. Add Rudy Gay to the mix and you have 4 players who can play SF/PF with a 3-point shot and good defense.

Stanley Johnson is not that expensive. I can give you multiple salary cap scenarios where we wind up with both.

Johnston should be a restricted FA. So you'll pay numbers close to Kyle Anderson.

The Spurs don’t just give up player unless they have one coming in long term. There’s no reason to trade anyone when you have just as good of a chance of signing two of the players you listed in a buyout situation. Also with Murray out Mills most likely isn’t going to be traded this year.

yes that means a part of the MLE should be enough to get him. If we trade for Carroll we got bird rights and can resign him. Or Spurs create cap space and sign him with that

I know, but if Ariza is bought out he's going back to Houston 100%
