    Finally watched ATM replay.

They really sucked. Especially 2nd half against a very bad offense.
Miss St. has a killer LB. what I thought was an incredibly tough kid at ATM RB went backwards for the first time. That guy on Miss St. is a crusher. Hardest hitting LB I have seen this year. ATM kid got what it feels like to get hit in the NFL.

    TCU stinking it up.
For recruiting purposes we picked a not so bad weak to play what we are capable of, bad.
the a&m achilles heel all season long has been their secondary but it wasn't as apparent over the past couple of games because kentucky is a horrible passing team and SC is not much better. credit to the Mississippi State coaching staff to create a game plan predicated on attacking the secondary. oddly enough, the a&m defense was ranked 2nd in the nation on 3rd down conversions, primarily because they are good against the run (and thus, good on 3rd and short). the bulldogs were great on 3rd and long because they picked up blitzes and attacked the secondary. there's a big reason that a&m has made the secondary such a priority in recruiting. the offense had its worst game of the season. dropped passes, penalties, miscues...it was as if the bye week was wasted other than getting healthy. in that respect, i'd say the same was true of UT. the bye week seemed to hurt them as they were incredibly sloppy and made OSU look a lot better than they actually are. the state of texas football is really, really bad-once again.

2020 CB Jaylon Jones of Cibolo Steele will be in Austin this weekend, according to 24/7.

    https://247sports.com/Player/Jaylon-Jones-46051979/
he's had an off and on season to this point but has been better as of late. he has even been featured at WR on occassion. early in the year, QBs were even going at him and he was burned deep frequently. part of that was the zone 2 defense steele was running for some really odd reason (steele has a pretty bad head coach at the moment). they have been in man more often as of late and jones has been better since. to this point though, i'd rate his season at 2 1/2 stars. we'll see how he fares in the playoffs.

The SEC bias runs deep once again with 7 teams in the top 20. Other than Alabama the rest of the SEC seems blah this year.

2020 OL Logan Parr of San Antonio O'Connor talks about recruiting for UT (The Football Brainiacs):

“I started recruiting players even before I committed.”

There are three main guys Parr has his sights set on.

“Locally, I’ve been talking to Jaylon Jones a lot. And position wise it’s Chad Lindberg and Jake Majors.”

We’ve talked about the duo of Parr and Chad Lindberg likely being the top two offensive lineman in the state of Texas in 2020.

“I have been talking to Chad pretty much every day for the last year. And with Jake a lot more recently too. It would be really cool to bring those guys along with me.”

Update on WR Elijah Higgins of Austin Bowie before his official visit to Texas this weekend (24/7):

“Nothing really,” Higgins said. “At this point, Texas is really a school that I’m focused on and considering. If I feel it, that’s what It’s going to be. If I don’t then it won’t. That’s really how it’s going to be for me.”

“I kind of expected it,” Higgins said. “I trusted in what Coach (Tom) Herman was preaching to us, and what he tells the players and recruits is that things were going to happen in the right way. What he did at Houston, I knew he was going to end up coming back and doing the same thing at Texas.”

“I definitely am looking for an offense that can put me into spots to do what I do well,” Higgins said. “That’s definitely something that’s intriguing to me at Texas, but like I said before, if I enjoy it and feel that it’s right, that’s where I will be.”

OL Isaiah Hoofkin of Fort Bend Dulles picked up Auburn and Miss State offers today.

Probably safe to say UT will do the same this weekend when he visits.

    Yeah.

Thats why I wrote that 3 major recruiting schools in Texas, ATM UT and TCU, all looked horrid. I think ATM played a better team than UT. Herman stated in his presser we faced a really good OK St team/ effort. I put the emphasis on effort. ATM really got punched in the face. We have not faced that this season. That is the one big difference with this year’s team. But I think we have a chance to get mauled by One of the three, Iowa St., W Va, TT. I think TT would be the most likely as it’s away. An Okie State-like game in Lubbock will not be pretty.
