    Nathan is illogical.
he just says ridiculous, overdramatic things and assumes everyone agrees

"will be the end of the US"... "anti-american stance on immigration"

Dems use to recognize this but now they pandering to illegals and those with alliance to illegals for votes. Sorry but Dems are throwing American citizens under the bus. No sane country would do this because it is detrimental.

"About 295,000 babies were born to unauthorized-immigrant parents in 2013, making up 8% of the 3.9 million U.S. births that year, according to a new, preliminary Pew Research Center estimate based on the latest available federal government data. This was a decline from a peak of 370,000 in 2007."

    https://www.google.com/amp/www.pewre...lines/%3famp=1

    Nearly 1/10 births. That's enormous
All native born citizens. It's pretty much always been that way. If you're born here not to a diplomat or a slave (pre-1866) you're a US citizen.

What's the problem with all these native born US citizens, as you see it?

We've always done it this way. Pretty much every one here has family roots in another country.

Hasn't ruined us yet. Might even be one of the best things about the US.

I meant native in the legal sense, as in native born. You're talking about aboriginal natives. Two different sense of the same word.

Illegals and birthright make the entire Dem platform illogical. All their positions on climate change, education, healthcare, minimum wage, Ubi, etc do not make sense because of their anti-American stance on immigration. There is a reason the welfare states the left glorify don't have birthright.
Anyone care to explain how importing the developing world to the US is good for the environment? Most important issue of our time apparently. Or how illegal immigrants coexist with all the other big government plans? Seems that will incentivize more and more illegals and ultimately repel the best talent in the world that we currently attract.

On the other hand I would prefer the US not treat the country like a charity. Let the best brains in the world come to the US. Let them innovate the solutions of the future and let them get rich in the process (without taxing them to death). Yes, I want the next Elon Musk, scientist, engineer, entrepreneur, etc to say the best place in the world to opperate is the US. Unfortunately, that will not be the future for this country.

Great! Now play the video of Bill Clinton talking about illegal immigration. Then quote Joe Biden about confirming a SCOTUS nominee.

Are you supporting this because Trump is against? Or because cons ution?

You know it complicates separating children of illegals. Loop hole to keep them in this country on humanitarian grounds

Lot of begged questions there, Nathan89. Would take awhile to untangle.

How about you explain why it won't work and we can go from there?

Looking back at the broad sweep of US history, immigration has been a good thing. I still think it is.

Anyone at all can make anything of him or herself here.

Even non-white people of scanty means.

Give me your poor, your tired, your huddled masses, all that. Not only are we still rich enough, we need the dynamism the diversity and the productive capabilities. We still need the people from all over the world who want to be here.

Trump Says He Told U.S. Military at Border to ‘Consider it a Rifle’ if Migrants Throw Rocks

he said that the United States military will consider a rock held in the hands of migrants the same as a firearm.

"When you get hit in the face with a rock, which as you know,

that was very violent a few days ago.

    Very, very violent.”

“They’re throwing rocks, viciously, and violently.

You saw that three days ago. Really hurting the military. We’re not going to put up with that.

They want to throw rocks at our military, our military fights back.

We’re gonna consider, and I told them consider it a rifle.

When they throw rocks like they did at the Mexico military and police, I say consider it a
    rifle.”

    BiBi would agee.

They are dehumanized animals and rapists and murderous rock throwers, so kill as many as possible.

US needs skilled immigration because K-12 is relatively poor quality

I think parents should be citizens OR they must go thru the process. Majority of nations do not practice birth right. And I believe there is logical reason for that.

I guess you could argue America is still in horizontal expansion mode and the more strip malls the better. I would prefer vertical mindset and for example improving K-12, not just building more schools

Trump Says He’ll Restrict Asylum Claims To Ports Of Entry, Contrary To Law

Trump on Thursday said he would order border agents to refuse to consider the asylum claims of people apprehended while crossing the border between ports of entry —

though immigration lawyers asserted the move runs afoul of U.S. and international law.

    Trump made the announcement

after a wave of falsehoods, many of them racially charged,

about what he again called an “invasion” of Central American migrants and asylum seekers currently traveling toward the U.S. border.

“Migrants seeking asylum will have to present themselves lawfully at a port of entry,” Trump said.

Immigration lawyers and experts pounced on the comments:

    Aaron Reichlin-Melnick@ReichlinMelnick

Our asylum law is crystal clear that you don't need to go to a port of entry to apply for asylum.

8 USC § 1158(a) states that "Any alien who is physically present in the [US] or who arrives in the [US] (Whether or not at a designated port of arrival...) may apply for asylum."

    Aaron Reichlin-Melnick@ReichlinMelnick

Barring asylum to people who cross between ports would violate the law.

Asylum is available to all, even those who don't cross at ports of entry.

Not to mention, CBP has been blocking people from applying at ports of entry!

That's why we sued to stop their illegal practice.

POTUS implying that he's going to end the right to seek asylum for those who enter in places other than ports of entry.

That will require a change in the law, not a presidential speech.

    The Trump administration is
being sued for turning away asylum seekers from lawful ports of entry.

U.S. will catch but 'no longer release' undo ented immigrants, bar many from seeking asylum, Trump says

President Trump will use an executive order "next week" to end the catch and release policy he's detested for so long,

America will "no longer release" undo ented immigrants found in the U.S., and instead

will hold migrants in "massive tent cities" until their deportation or asylum proceedings, Trump said Thursday.

The administration is currently building "massive cities of tents" along the border to accommodate for the expected influx of detainees, Trump added,

insisting against evidence that it would be "totally legal" to indefinitely detain families.

Trump starts ing about immigrants, suddenly all his followers act like they had these ideas on their own.

There’s nothing patriotic about ting on immigrants. Accepting people who’ve been exiled for any number of reasons is a defining element of our nation, and always has been. If you don’t like it, that’s your biased Trumpian viewpoint. Don’t act like it has any basis in American tradition.

I believe majority of Immigrants with American citizenship (myself included) are lukewarm or against birth rite. We waited our turn. Our relatives might even struggle to obtain visas to visit America.
