Quotes from RB Noah Cain of IMG Academy after his official visit to UT last weekend (24/7):
“It went really good,” Cain said. “Better than I expected really. I can definitely see the potential in the offensive line, and that was my biggest question with Texas. After this weekend, I feel like they answered all of my questions.”
“She hasn’t stopped talking about it,” Cain said of his mother. “She definitely enjoyed having a lot of one-on-one time with Coach (Tom) Herman. She was really impressed by that and all of the things that Texas provides. My dad was impressed, too. Like me, he had questions about the offensive line, but we saw enough to believe in the future there.”
“That one on one conversation with Coach Drayton was something,” he said. “He’s probably one of the only coaches recruiting me who sees small things in my game and tells me to work on them. Just my time with him was the biggest highlight.”
“The most important thing is trust,” he said. “Being up front and honest is important. The biggest thing for me is being comfortable there and trusting the coaching staff.”
former longhorn derick roberson
The transfer from Texas is really fun to watch, and he has risen from an undraftable grade all the way up to consideration for Day 2. After a five-sack 2017 season, Roberson already has 13.5 sacks and five forced fumbles this season, including five straight games with at least 1.5 sacks. He tore apart Incarnate Word on Saturday, with two sacks, a forced fumble, two pass breakups and six total tackles. Roberson is going to be an intriguing prospect when more scouts get a closer look at his 6-foot-4, 250-pound frame at all-star games in January. He has been no match for FCS offensive tackles. -- Kiper
Can't believe I'm going to say this, but who the heck was Derick Roberson? I can't remember him at all.
I think he lasted (2) years and then transferred.

I remember him being a borderline 4/5 star. Dude was a beast and he never panned out. I think that he was in Charlie's transition class. I remember Roberson and Heard being my favorite recruits and being scared of losing them. Little did I know.
Ugh.
The question isn't if Jett will throw a pick 6 but rather how many
Don't worry...this defense is channeling their inner Blake Gideon!
Hornsby... dude has a funky release
Yeah it sucked seeing him out there in a UT uniform and not showing anything as he showed so much promise as a senior in high school. Glad he found his stride, dude is a beast. I wish Locksley would've become serviceable. Heard on the other hand, I feel bad for him. Team player, but being a team player, in his situation, did not benefit him. I guess if you look at it, nor the team... maybe he should've stayed at qb and had somebody fine tune his release and work on his arm strength. Impossible to say he couldn't have gained arm strength
I'm with you Vito,I can't remember Derick either.I must be getting old.Good luck to him.
All i I remember was a video of him knocking some kid out in high school
That Rodas Johnson kid seems like he has a lot to please the ladies with.
