Wouldn’t be a smart move by the administration to pick that legal battle. If you hadn’t noticed by now the administration has let the Special Counsel run it’s course.

Sessions recused himself due to collaborating with the Trump campaign. Rosenstein *actually hired* the special counsel, something that nobody, AFAIK, challenged at the time. It's patently ridiculous to claim now that he should recuse himself for an action that happened before hiring Mueller (conversely, it's not ridiculous to argue he should recuse himself if somebody he's close to becomes part of the investigation).

His signature as part of official business is irrelevant. He can be a witness to the investigation, if necessary, has nothing to do with the recusal rules (which involve personal/political relationships with people integral to an ongoing criminal investigation).

No offense taken. Like I said, ultimately, the consequences are potentially throwing his career to the trashcan, but maybe the payoff is worth it to him, tbh...
