Hate to say this but Obama's endorsement would probably have hurt Beto and I think Obama knows that. It was still a great effort by Beto. Cruz won by 16.0% in 2012 and by only 2.5% in 2016. I'm curious if Beto would consider going after the Texas senate seat that is up for grabs in 2020.
