Some of you haven't been fans very long. Back in the day, 10-12 years ago, the Spurs used to turn over 5-6 players per year, and there was always an adjustment period to learn each other's games. That's the reason that EHJ invented SPAM. The team hovered a little bit over .500, and then took off after the RRT.

If you're watching the standings now, you're doing it wrong.

in the Timmy era, we never had to worry about the standings. We were a playoff team, period. We all knew that. And then once the RRT hit like you mentioned, then it was time to really care.

Now, we know we have a limited team. We know every win matters. No game is guaranteed like in the past. I think that is why we are watching the standings a bit more than before.

But in reality, it is too early. If we are able to have a 10 game winning streak or multiple 7 + game winning streaks during the season, than we should be close to 50 wins.
If we can't get past a 5 game winning streak, then we will likely be a 40 win team.

That would put them at 14-24, 10 games below .500 and way out of the playoff race by January 1.

I think that SHOULD be enough to get the front office thinking about selling off LMA and other pieces, hopefully that's the route they take tbh.
