Nah, all twos are the same. 16-3PT isn't any worse than 3-16. If a guy is shooting almost 50 percent on those shots, you still have to guard him. Moreover, those shots in particular are off screen and as counters to hard-closes. Those are really good for establishing spacing when the shooter is already an accomplished marksman from behind the arc. Any defense is going to try to limit Forbes there as much as they're going to try to limit DeRozan there. Difference is that teams still can't soft-close on Forbes, because he is willing and able to hit those quick threes if the D hesitates. Further, if a team does run Bryn off the line and away from the long-two, they haven't been successful in keeping him from the rim, where he also shoots well. If Bryn shooting is a defensive win in less than 20 percent of the occasions where it happens, then the defense isn't going to want him to shoot very often.
