Meh, I can't call people dumb for having a psychological crutch. Whatever works for them is fine by me as long as they keep it to themselves.
He's white collar, tbh, he'll hire a mojado to do the job for 1/3 of the money and cash in the other 2/3...
Which, IMO, it's also part of why you guys get so angry about these things, and why we can't have nice things...

Actually I wasn't angry. Mostly I was having fun because of his out to lunch comment about truckers not being part of the backbone of this country. They are pretty much the backbone of most countries. These days 80-90% of the products we buy got to the wholesaler or retailer via big ol' 18 wheeler's. They spend most of their life on the road. Gotta hand it to them. I wouldn't want to do it.![]()
Truck driving is such a ty life, that pays $40K - $75K, that there is a shortage of 50K drivers.
"The median annual wage for a trucker that works for a private fleet, such as a truck driver employed by Walmart, is $73,000, according to ATA.
The Labor Department pegs the median annual salary for all truck drivers at around $40,000. But it isn't an easy job to fill."

the backbone of the economy is money, and BigFinance is the backbone controlling money.
"Driver churn is also a problem —
at large fleets, turnover rose to an annualized rate of 95 percent last year,
according to industry figures. "

churn even worse that Uber/Lyft drivers
The assumptions (like religious, socially conservative people aren't happy with Trump - 2 conservatives on the SC in less than 2 years is a BIG deal) the left makes and a lack of understanding of why people vote the way they do - imo, that's what is lacking - not whether some one has a college degree or not.
Regarding all the pipe dreams of the left in particular that of single payer - the discussion of education came to a grinding halt in another thread with the government paying/subsidizing medical education in exchange for tracking/funneling students into different vocations - a total misunderstanding of how Americans are different in the way they think/behave. Sure, if you're some good little Asian kid and his government tells him - no, he didn't score high enough to do xxxx, instead he should go into xxxxx, he'd accept that. Otoh, do you see the majority of Americans accepting anyone telling them what they should or should not go into or no, you can't change your mind about what you want to do or the problems that are going to arise with so much government involvement eg. some race not scoring proportionately high enough to provide diversity in certain fields. That individualism that no one wants to talk about - instead of group think - for the collective good of family/society - that ain't gonna go down well in America - and is a totally, different problem than the practical reality of transitioning to single payer.
The higher power thing is way overblown. Some people realize a species that has only been around for 100,000 years and really evolved for walking around on plains scattered with trees can’t know everything. So equating an “I don’t know “ to some other driving mechanisms that we can’t understand is not a surprising leap imo.
But they don't.
You dummy. I’m not a truck driver, nor blue collar, but I’m smart enough and experienced enough to know that you sound like a jerkoff that doesn’t understand how gets accomplished in this country. Now go get my TPS reports at your $40k a year job that does nothing for the country or the greater good.
Therein lies the problem.
He's rich, makes like a million dollars a year.
He said he's pushing 350+ this year bro.
Because America has no heritage or foundation. Busted families are increasingly normalized. People want to feel they belong and are a part of something more than commercialism.

Once women were able to A) get an education and B) support themselves, families were busted at a higher rate. Back in the day you could smack a hoe and her sister but she'd be at the stove bright and early to make your breakfast, in that strong family unit. i"m all for the broken family if it means people living more freely. Kids are important but they aren't the goal of living. We weren't treated like Christmas tree ornaments. I came from a solid family, parents married until death but I knew people who didn't and they are just fine. In fact, they got better once dad moved out.
What do you credit for Americans struggling to obey authority and overall being sloppy. No attention to detail and overall lack of self awareness.
As simply a neighbor or co worker all I ask is for someone to not be obnoxious or dirty. I think Americans are mostly this way because of the lack in father figure. I had that growing up AND until my teens I actually thought "God was watching" and it legit kept me from making poor choices I was 50/50 on.
If you pull back a bit and look at the entire picture, what you see is that we are more aware today of every little hiccup in society anywhere in the civilized world. This makes us believe that people are sloppy because we have so many examples of it vs when we were kids and we only had our immediate surrounds or the local culture.
The same is true for Gays. I've heard there are so many more Gays now, but we all knew Gay people growing up, they just didn't admit they were Gay. We probably knew autistic people who were just labelled re ed.
I think expansion of freedom will eventually equate to the appearance of what you're referring to. Just imagine how well behaved Nazi Germany was, or how self aware they were, especially the citizens. In fact, any society that has overpowering oversight will have the appearance of structure and order but a clean bedroom and spotless home doesn't make a happy family.
Father figures are not always good. Sometimes they are bad. Perhaps they lack a proper role model. It doesn't need to be a guy.As simply a neighbor or co worker all I ask is for someone to not be obnoxious or dirty. I think Americans are mostly this way because of the lack in father figure. I had that growing up AND until my teens I actually thought "God was watching" and it legit kept me from making poor choices I was 50/50 on.
I don't think that's true. When I was a teen Freddie Mercury loved fat bottomed girls and Rob Halford loved whiskey drinking women. Then the libs got to them.
I remember when girls where SHOCKED that George Michael was gay. Lol
Lol....must be true then.
That's really not that much money in today's world.
I’ll happily bet on it if you think it’s not true, let me know the amount. We can have Kori or timvp hold both of our bets in escrow and decide on whether or not I’ve made over 300k year to date based off pay stubs I provide to them.
Shouldnt be a problem since you seem confident I only make 40k![]()
Why are you talking about me again?![]()
You’re pathetic.
So that’s a no![]()
