Our playoff hopes hang only on his health nothing more
¿O si?
For the most part, I agree. He's our glue guy this season, which is scary considering his shaky health.
No o.
Si
If he isnnot durable we will end up placing at the bottom of the standings
That's true, they should be a 45-win team on paper..Spurs only had 4 consistent impact players heading into the season(DeRozan, Aldridge, Gay and Murray for his defense and rebounding), they couldn't afford to lose any of them, they might be the worst team in the league from 4th to 12th from a roster perspective..
Gay is a good player (elite role player when in court), but this says more about the lack of wings nba level in SA than anything else.
there is no doubt about it.
I agree that RG22 is a game changer on both ends of the ball. Noticed last night, when he came into the game, the scoring went up for the good guys, getting us back in the game. Rudy appears to be playing with confidence with his outside shooting, & of coarse,he can also score in the paint and around the basket as well. His health definately is a concern going forward, but what this team also needs is someone who can be counted on as a consistant closer; somone, when the game is on the line, can carry this team on their back an on to the "W." Right now, we do not seem to have that person on this team who can step up to do that. One would think that it would be DD10 or LMA, but... well... we know their issues right now. But those three guys are our main scorers to get at solid 50 to maybe 60 points per game, followed by the rest of the players in the starting lineup or bench to fill out the scores, but even this matter hasn't been consistant lately either, due to injuries & poor performance. But any who, agreed, Rudy is a key to this team's scoring sucess, & SAS needs consistancy from him to stay competative & playoff bound. GSG!!!
Agree with Harlem and Rodrigo. He’s playing well but the falloff between him and everyone else is huge and that’s a reflection of how poor the rest of the roster is.
I think he’s on minutes management too bc his body starts to break down after a certain threshold probably. Pop keeps him at the 25 minutes or so and just like last season sometimes he doesn’t close games ... last night was inexplicable bc you’d figure he would have been a better choice than Belinelli or Forbes or Mills or Cunningham, not just a better overall player but he has a better chance of grabbing a rebound when it counts...

If the Spurs score more points than their opponent they will win the game
Fully agreed
I watched RGs running in transition in the 3rd and 4th.
did.not.look.good
Like injured for sure.
True but Duncan played in that state for years
Walker out Murray out Rudy out Gasol Out - I am feeling good I am calling it now we get the number 1 draft![]()
Probably for the best
Why would you want to make playoffs as an 8th seed and get obliterated by Golden Showers in 3 games
The Spurs could withstand losing Murray or Gay . . . but no Murray and gimpy Gay is tough. To be fair, I don't know many teams that could keep winning losing their third and fourth best players (not to mention having one of their top two players play at a career-worst clip).
Some mock drafts have us all ready drafting at 12 spot
hmmm it's not just the eye test speaking.
Rudy Gay, superstar. Whoda thunk it.
So, without Rudy we are has-beens. But with Rudy we become also-rans. Woo-Hoo!
Not worst team in the league but we are not a playoff team without him.
We need manu
