    Kawhi "Rest" Leonard

Dont think most sensible fans believe his managment at this point. Dennis and Kawhi has taken this secure that max deal quest into levels I have never personally seen. Obviously Toronto bending. I think the Spurs medical stuff was correct all along. He was healthy but decided to sit out.

With the exception of Derrick Rose Brother, kawhi is probably the worst managed superstar.

Theres even more evidence now that the spurs were right.

Before the raptors announced that leonard will be out of back to backs indefintley..here's what the raptors coach had to say ( clearly not given any word yet about Dennis plan)

"He looks good, hes healthy so yeah hes playing" proceeds to sit out.

In his second back to back the Assistant Coach

" Yeah he seemed fine to me" sits out again

Nurse other interview after 3 games of back to back rest.

" we need to have an open mind with their appraoch so we can find a fit"

I cant believe it but sadly this 27 year old man thinks his uncle knows it all.

Its fair game i guess but what hes doing is unprecedented levels.

Still he took a big pile of on the spurs franchise.

The raptors don't care about the regular season. They're ALL IN for the playoffs. They hope he's healthy for the playoffs and that's all there is to it.

    Ofcourse.

I'm just talking about the ethics. How many players in the history of the NBA have taken this kind of measure to secure a max contract? Most players play to prove their worth again.

Its understandable with thw thomas Injury, but they are taken precautionary at levels Athletes have never taken before.

there's not too much measure here though. If Kawhi decided to sit out for the entire season, he would still get the max contract. Most teams would bendover backwards to get him.

It’s not to stay healthy. It’s an exertion of power to let all the other players know that I can do whatever I want to do and still get franchises to bend over backwards for me, so you other little minions better not dare to open your mouths or I’ll get management to ship your ass out to OKC so that they can think they have a chance of signing me.

Players get ed by the refs and the media tries to force them to act like neutered pussyes. If his team can make playoffs and considering how good he is it is within his moral right to rest.

Ethics, the NBA does not have enough of that in it's history to make demands on Kawhi. Nor do the fans.

i don't think it's unethical to put your health over the success of the team. Especially since there's a very unbalanced risk/reward ratio attached to it.

Kawhi and Uncle Dennis are ALL IN for securing the bag next offseason. That's the real reason he's not playing back-to-backs, let's be real now.

You're the master of speculating i'll give you that. Kawhi Leonard missed 92% of games last season. The Raptors are definitely coddling him by resting him, there's no doubt about that. Kawhi will play 65 games and be ready for a playoffs run and that's all that matters.

What happens after the season is not in our power. Enjoy the season and don't get ahead of yourself.

Once he gets that huge contract he will be out a lot of games. The dude is missing games on his contract year, imagine when he's already paid. He will be a 65 game a year guy for life.

He knows he will get max money. What difference does contract year make? He just needs to be badass in playoffs anyways.

Oh trust me it matters that he works hard on his contract year. My point wasn't that he isn't going to get max money, but rather that he will get it and then continue to do this. Kawhi hasn't led a team anywhere so it is a gamble that all he has to do is lead his team in the playoffs. Especially with a massive choker like Lowry. I get that everybody is in love with the Raptors in November, but this team is a second round team. That might also not matter to Kawhi since he's gone anyway, but there's no longer an easy path to a championship. Kawhi very well may end up with only one ring. He will have every individual award but Kawhi once said he wants les, not stats. He only cares about winning. I wonder what he wants/ cares about now.

They say he spoke to Kobe. It makes sense if so.

I'd like to see a breakdown of the last 30 or so games he's played and the W/L record of those.

A year of sucking Leonard off and bashing the Spurs and now you are saying the Spurs medical staff was correct? The dude is mentally weak and a pussy. I'm not saying taking on any undue risk, but there is inherent risk every time you play a sport whether you are 100% healthy or not. If the team medical staff says you are good to go, suck it up and play. You're getting paid millions of dollars to play a ing game.

Even if he's just doing it for the money, it doesn't bode well for his future. After sitting out a full season of his prime and then resting every other game this season, his body is forgetting how to play a grueling 82-game season + a long playoff run. And he'll probably always have to deal with nagging "quad" (i.e. vaginal) injuries. He peaked in 2017.

With the way Kevin Durant went off on a fan who called him cupcake, you know wherever he goes from now on the fans will call him cupcake.
