Glad he's out of this hole where he's only allowed to stand in the corner, and if he did otherwise he'd get pulled for a fat aboriginal. He no longer has to take from illiterate and illegal player fans. Will root for him in the playoffs when I'm sitting on the couch hoping our Spurs hit the lottery..
Leave my ElNono out of this tbh

    Manu s

    Let me include some context.

    Tony: 18.5mpg, 9.8ppg, 4.3apg, 17.2PER
    Forbes: 28.9mpg, 13.1ppg, 2.3apg, 12.7PER
    Mills: 26.2mpg, 9.2ppg, 2.3apg, 10.6PER

Wont even address the fact that you used BPM. An absolutely worthless stat that rates Fatty Mills as a superior defender to your ginger Bertans. I find hilarious how argies use this stat all of a sudden when I didn't read one mention of it when it showed Manure was a cancer on both sides last year...
Tony can't play more than 18 mpg at this point of his career. Again, let's enjoy that he is surpassing expectations with another team, but let's not fool ourselves thinking that we would be better with him on the roster. Another below average midget defender who, on top of that, doesn't shoot threes is the last thing we need right now.

At the end of the day:

Parker is hitting daggers on the Boston Celtics while Manure is clanking shots against the Rio de Janeiro Burros.
Manu. Now that's a player who would adress some needs of this ty roster.

I'm glad that Tony isn't as washed up as he seemed to be but people are starting to overrate his contributions this season, tbh.

    Tony: 9.8 ppg, 4.3 apg, - 3.5 bpm, -0.1 vorp
    Forbes: 13.1 ppg, 2.3 apg, -0.2 bpm, +0.2 vorp
    Mills: 9.2 ppg, 2.4 apg, -0.9 bpm, +0.1 vorp

Those stats don't indicate that Tony is better than Forbes and Mills this season, tbh. Also, people now about the abundance of mid range jumpers and lack of 3 pointers, imagine how much worse that would be with Tony playing instead of any Forbes or Mills.

Let Tony be happy in Charlotte where he has a role, he wouldn't have been of much help here.
BPM isn't good at measuring defensive contributions and while TP is certainly no Gary Payton, it's hard to imagine his defense being any worse than Forbes' and Mills' defense, tbh.

Tony getting stats he wouldn't get on this team. Everyone's happy. If you miss him, he'll be back after next year for a victory lap for his twentieth and final season. I even started a thread on it; but for some reason the mods shut it down.

Guess I've won the argument since you're resorting to personal attacks. Thanks for playing, though.

Great take. It was time for Tony to go and he's playing relatively well for a playoff contender.

The Spurs are floundering but the bad season might be necessary to replenish the talent pool. Sucks for Pop, DeMar, LaMarcus and the other veterans but the roster and talent pool on it isn't good enough.

If they can find a 6'7" - 6'9" wing in the draft that can be our starting SF for the next 10 - 12 years, then let the losing continue.

Anyway, I hope T.P. can pace himself and continue the solid start.

Charlotte scored 127 tonight thanks in part to TP's 3 pts on 1-5 FG.

To be fair, he would be getting shat on right now for the beta LMA antics, tbh...

I just hope now that he quit on the Spurs again, he stays there... hopefully he doesn't come back to coattail on some actual star again when the Spurs rebuild...
