Sam did not have as good of a game as he has had lately. He started off good, but made several poor throws after that. He will need to play better to beat Oklahoma. But, he seems to play better in big games. I keep forgetting he is a sop re.
Missed the game but did Sam not look 100%? Just saw clips and his decision making looked off compared to the rest of the season.

Seemed off a touch but I think the Kansas thing got to them them there at the end, put too much pressure on themselves. Trying too hard to be perfect and not relive the last time they were in Lawrence. Also as weird as it seems Kansas is 3rd nationally in takeaway so evidently they got sticky fingers. Sometimes these close wins give the coach something to gripe about and keep the players on their toes. Hope Orlando is ready to scheme something nice for this rematch.
I have a feeling, Sam has a concussion he isn't telling anyone about. He looked off and it reminded me of how he played after he got a concussion last year. I really hope I'm wrong.
Big 12 le game is pointless except for the playoffs. Texas deserves to be Big 12 champs. This le game was added just to help teams like OU make the playoffs.
Actually, Oklahoma deserves to be champions because they only had one loss. Texas had two.
True story!
I will never doubt this coaching staff and their ability to get guys up for a game or opponent (in fact, it's the other way for me in having NOT play down to an oppenent). However, I dont have a very good feeling about the B12 Championship game against OU. Herman is 100% correct in saying this team is overachieving. I loved it this year. Much, much better than recent history. Maybe OU plays tight because they have more on the line here. Maybe Texas plays with that "nothing to lose" mentality. I know OUs Defense is piss poor, but that offense is one of the best I've ever seen watching College football. The Texas big concern all year has been defense. Can they put all their chips on the table and play gangbusters for 4 qtrs this time? We shall see. This is house money right now.
But if Texas beats them twice then Texas is the better team
You’re right. I misread the standings. Either way I guess its pointless.
Do we know with any certainty which school McGlothern attends?
I have seen it listed in various places as New Caney, The Woodlands and Cedar Hill Trinity Christian
Maybe he switched schools? Seems unlikely there are two 2020 5-stars with this same name (but if so, then compliments to McGlothern, Sr)
Pretty sure he attends Cedar Hill Trinity Christian. I saw a video about Deion Sanders a few weeks back, about how he changed the CHTC program. I'm pretty sure McGlothern is featured in that video.
EDIT: Here's the video. I just scrolled through quickly and McGlothern appears at 6:28.

He played his sop re season at New Caney, and announced in the summer he'd be transferring to Cedar Hill Trinity Christian where he'll probably finish under the tutelage of Deion Sanders.
The GM for the Cleveland Browns was on the sideline last night at the OU / West Virginia game.

K'Lavon you are not sorry, and neither are we.
Can't wait until LSU has to face one of these terrible Big XII offenses in a bowl game.
Blake-
It's looking like Kingsbury is out after the loss today, of course he may have been gone already. Who's on the rumor board in Lubbock to be the next head coach? I heard Clemson DC Brent Venables may be the guy. That's unless K State grabs him first, which wouldn't surprise me due to his prior affiliation there.

He should be a head coach again, be a very smart move for Texas State to grab him if they can. He could build something solid there for a few years until a bigger program grabbed him.
Also wouldn't be surprised to see him go to the FSU or Bama as a OC.
If I were Scott Frost, I'd be in Lubbock right now camped in his front yard with a boom box over his head.
