As timvp has pointed out several times...there isn't one.
He gives the illusion of adding a "defensive presence" to the starting lineup ala Bruce Bowen...but the numbers simply don't back that up.
The only way he really fits into the starting lineup is he doesn't need shots, because those mostly go to LMA and DDR anyways...but that also hinders them because teams know he isn't a threat on the court.
Then again, I don't think he really fits in with the bench unit either. Their pace and space offense has actually pulled us out of a few holes recently, and somehow I just don't see that happening with Dante in the mix.
He probably really deserves to be a third-stringer but unless Pau comes back soon, Gay finds a way to stay consistently healthy, or Davis becomes more than a Matt Bonner Lite...I don't see it happening.
