There’s been like two thread’s about it
Check the Austin Spurs thread and I think playblair started the other
While trying to find Lonnie stats for the Austin Spurs, I came across a familiar name on the roster.
Apparently, the Austin Spurs selected DeJuan Blair in the 2018 NBA G League Draft. He was picked in the4th round
at pick
#107
So far, he has played 8 games in Austin, averaging 13 minutes, 6 points and 4.5 rebounds on37.2% shooting
How is the kneeless wonder still playing basketball? And how has this not been talked about?

I be slackin', I guess.
This is all news to me.
Pardon the stupid thread, and thanks to Blair for kicking Splitter and helping the Spurs earn their 5th ring!
Wonder if he still has the Spurs games circled on his calendar
crofl Dejuan's kick to the head should have been on the 2014 highlight reel. Spurs easily go down 3-1 if it wasn't for that move
Original turd towers. He has Zion's weight but not his athleticism. Still Blair could have been pretty good. He used to kill the Thunder.
blair will be called up to the main roster eventually & when it happens i will weep tears of joy
That would be kinda cool. But I do't think he is under contract to the SA Spurs, and I don't see them dropping anybody to sign him. Maybe a 10-day when those go into effect.
Damn. Why doesn't he go play in China? Surely he'd make way more money there.
Hw sucks now even by chinese standards. To think at one point this thought he was better than Kawhi
He's been there, done that. Blair was a Monkey King.
blair dominated china he had multiple 40 point 20 rebound games
OP.![]()
Wonder if he is going to get into coaching?
For those who don't check Austin Spurs or Blair threads, thanks for the
Also yes, I'd bet he'd be huge in China.
...and not vertically![]()
If PATFO wanted a big-bodied, multi-skilled high flyer, they would've signed Deonte Burton on a cheap contract. Too bad he's now playing for the Thunder. Perhaps RC Buffoon thinks he's a better talent evaluator than Sam Presti.
I wasn't a great fan of Blair, but I really appreciated the fact that he gave us what he had, being undersized and without knees. C'mon, give him a break. Former Spur still loves the game and if he wasn't on the Austin roster would be tearing up a YMCA amateur league. Go DeJuan!
I wonder if he still needs a few games to qualify for a pension. The Spurs have been very classy about taking on vets for that purpose, including Johnny Moore who couldn't perform for a full season due to a bout with Desert Fever he picked up in Phoenix. I forget the other guy they brought in for some similar reason (family member health insurance needs?) but he had no previous history with the Spurs if I remember right.
China don't want him. There's limits on # of overseas players (two) and the minutes they can collectively play.
Blair is a terminally sick in a hospital bed's Charles Barkley.
Any picture of him now?
I worked with Johnny back when I was a teacher at Metzger. Stand up guy. Glad they did right by him.
Why do so many hate on Blair on this forum. Dude looks ripped now. And he always played with a lot of grit and pride. Something def lacking on the roster now. I’m happy for him. Never gave up on his dream.
players get their pensions with 3 years of service, Blair's already hit the threshold.
Seems like in good shape
