Zakat, one of the pillars of Islam, is a form of taxation.

I consider a money grab something that's not a fundamental part of the economy. I can certainly agree or not with you that certain taxes are bloated, and that's certainly the debatable part, but there's no utopia where there's no taxation and a healthy economy.
The economy can and did fundamentally operate without income taxes. Theoretically, there is a nominal floor in which taxes are necessary. Above that, it can be argued that certain levels of taxes increase quality of life. Generally speaking, tax levels are bloated though. This tax grab was just especially blatant.

You said "All taxes are money grabs", that's the only part I took exception with (under the premise that money grabs are not fundamental part of any economic system).

Sure, who gets taxed and how much is certainly up for discussion.

They are all money grabs in that they grab above what is necessary, imo.

No its not. Zakat is only applicable to the able and its 2 percent. Foreign zakat is basically jizya also 2 percent.

I heard ISIS charged about a 50% "jizya" though.

"Only 2% and only the able" is still a tax.

Try it and tell us about it.

Thinking they wont go after you if you commit tax fraud.

Not that what your other post says has any real usable value. Your account/address is linked to your credit card. Your purchases wouldn't go through if you just change your state or address. So I guess Sony is doing you a solid by making you not commit a crime by trying to commit tax evasion.

Only federal taxes... and even then, such a puny amount just isn't a big deal... but city sales tax on the internet might as well be like tips.

You are paying the same taxes you would be as if you were buying it at a retail store. Game costs 59.99 you're gonna be paying upwards to 5 bucks depending on your state tax.

    lol cents.

Basically, you'd have to rack up a load of that tax for it to even remotely land on their radar. As stupid as MM is, the idea, while too much hassle for most people who can foot a measly 10 cents on the dollar, wouldn't register on anyone's radar.
