He got more than what many Hall of famers get on their lifetimes. He can't complain. Also, the Spurs team he was a part of was a 47 wins team without him. It's not like they were the Cavs minus Lebron.
Great point, he's not carrying the non playoffs Lakers either (without LeBron it's arguable they are probably worse than last year.)

Kawhi was a bigger threat when he was with us bc he had a 3 ball. This year he doesn't. It's early and he could get his shot back, but as of now it is a liability. BTW Giannis is the clear MVP and it isn't even close. He has Kawhi beat in every statistical category and his team is playing well. Raptors have a better record but have won 6 games without so when you factor that in, the better record argument doesn't work. It'll be interesting to see Kawhi vs Giannis bc Giannis is bigger, faster, longer, and stronger while Kawhi has Jordan like moves. Yet I don't know how well Kawhi will play against him since he no longer has a 3 point shot.

They were TO of the I lost my handle bc I am getting this double team and I don't want to pass kind or I am going to flop kind.
I'll talk about a game that you could have watched.

Kawhi got double-teamed vs Grizz most game, Memphis was very aggressive with that and Kawhi passed the ball so well. His playmaking led to 5 open 3's in the 2nd half and it was the key to the win.

It's not like he doesn't want to pass the ball, he already did.

However, fans blame his teammates when they are abysmal vs top playoffs teams. That's the story of this season and most seasons for the Raptors. It's not new. Sadly, Lowry -neither the rest of the team- can't handle pressure vs elite.

They beat the Grizzlies bc everyone including Lowry got incredibly on fire.
Kawhi played that game. DAF was talking about the record without him.

We will see. But blaming the loss on his teammates is chicken . He missed a bunch of 3s had 2 TO in the 4th Q too and he relishes having the ball.in his hands and taking more shots the everyone. You are right in the Grizzlies game he passed when he was forced to. It allowed others to get a rhythm... But he's a player that relishes the big moment and I admire that but can't come in blaming everyone else when it's on him. Besides they aren't going to go without one loss the rest t the way that's unrealistic.

any details on kawhi’s NB deal?
    Still haven’t found anything concrete.

Reading through comments his sister made he’ll have merchandise with his logo. So it sounds like he was able to keep that. And if I’m reading it right he’ll have his signature shoe which is still in the making.

    Let's me see...

-he took more shots than everyone.

he's the leading scorer, that's what scorers do. they take more shots than others.

esp when he's shooting better than his teammates' abysmal %FG.

    -he had 2 TO

Kawhi had 2 TO but scored 27 pts in .52% 100% FT

Kyle had 3 TO scored 5 pts in .14% ...That's why fans blame him.

Nah...This loss wasn't remotely on him.

Kawhi had 2 TO in like the last 2-3 minutes in the game iirc and 3 overall.

Kawhi has been very unclutch this season with the Raptors. Turnovers everywhere, missed shots. It’s probably because he hasn’t Play basketball for a year.

That makes more sense to me... I know recall when he lost the ball out of bounds dribbling it off his foot.

Kawhi had 2 TO in like the last 2-3 minutes
And still made two clutch shots. Something Kyle Lowry/rest of team didn't do for sure.

Kawhi had a good game, again this loss wasn't on him.

Nephew has been damn good offensively the last three games. I previously said he was 80% of the way to his 2017 offensive level. I'll now say he's about 90% there. If he starts hitting threes, it'd soon be 100%.

Defensively, Nephew is no where near his DPOY days. I'd rate Siakam as a better defender so far this season ... and Danny Green, too. That said, I don't think it's possible for Nephew to be as good as he was 2017 offensively while simultaneously playing defense at a DPOY level.

He’s coasting on defense to prevent injury. He’s focused on that max contract

Do you think the Raptors can win it all? I feel like they get too stagnant in crunch time and as incredible as nephew is I have a hard time believing you can win a le with Siakim/Lowry as your second best player.

But then again, if the Warriors didn’t exist the Raps would be heavy championship favorites.

If the Warriors are anywhere close to table, they probably sweep the Raptors. Might take five games.

Main problem is Lowry always struggles in the playoffs. For as much grief as DeRozan got, Lowry choked as much if not more. The other problem is that depth doesn't matter nearly as much in the playoffs. Their depth helps them win regular season games but depth doesn't win high level playoff series.

Given the Raptors reliance on Lowry and depth, I don't think they should be the favorites to come out of the East, tbh.

He hit the game-tying FG with 7 seconds left. Pretty clutch tbh.

I already know Raptors can't beat the Warriors in play-offs

Kawhi and Green both choked at the end of the game tonight and lost. FYI.
U clearly didn't watch the game... Kawhi made two clutch baskets with under a minute left... It's everyone else around him that choked... Check the raptors board... They'll tell you the same

So because Kawhi didn't make every shot, and had turnovers it negates how bad his teammates were that game? And it negates how good he was? Did u watch the game? Or highlights?

Bingo. He isn't fighting through screens like he used to in SA. He can't afford for the quads to take a knee shot again from a taller player.

We're not in 2014 anymore. 3-4 years later, he deserves better.
The team that waxed houston in a playoff road game without him? Ya they sucked
