2 good role players + 2nd round pick maybe
Hallo everybody, first time poster here. Got to root harder when things go south, I guess.
After a quarter season gone, it seems clear LMA and DDR don't really work well together. Part of the blame goes to coaching, in my opinion (BTW nobody is moving on offense, and cuts are out of sync half the time). Still, DDR is here to stay for obvious reasons.
Considering how Utah turned the season around last year (I know, different context), it may be not too late to fix the Spurs' season.
The question is: is there any profitable trade out there for LMA? I can't see anybody giving up anything meaninful, hope I am wrong though.
2 good role players + 2nd round pick maybe
He can play in Austria for a Apple and a Egg!!!!!
maybe Portland will take him back
I kind of agree w/ rodrigolac, but who has them and wants to trade them for LMA?
Boston would take him and they have 4 first round draft picks.
only for teams happy to tank that want a tank commander and are looking to offload bad role player contracts. that or a team maybe like Washington that still wants to make the playoffs but know they need to make some roster changes.
unfortunately there isnt a market really for 33 year old soft jump shooting divas who whill cry about touches while theyre making 20+ mil a year
No, too old, too fussy, too ball dominant, too archaic, heart problems, diva, muh toochies
Actually, I think the Wiz might have interest. They signed Dwert, of all diva dinosaurs, and he just had back surgery. Maybe Brooklyn? But wouldn't it be ironic if we could move him to Atlanta?
There's always a market when you have a GM that's cool with taking a huge net loss. I could see the Spurs trading Aldridge for an expiring and a heavily protected second round pick.
Spurs needed to trade him last summer when his value was at it's highest. Now nobody will give anything of value for LMA after his disastrous start this season.
Not enough of one to make, as you termed it, a profitable trade. He's the an hesis of modern basketball and he's proven too stubborn to change.
This and their refusal to re-build is likely why he's not going anywhere unless he requests a trade again. I suspect he prefers not to because I believe he wants to be in San Antonio and this might be the only organization left that would allow him to stay stuck in the past, but if he senses it's unlikely that they're so much as even a plus .500 team next season, he might.
If he does, Hornets, Heat, Trail Blazers, Wizards, seem like possibilities.
Let's see. Lma is leading the league in postups per game at 12.6 per game. I really doubt he'll want to play second fiddle in another team. He seems content with getting his shots. Even if at an expense to his team.
Wonder if Washington would do it. Obviously I’d love Beal in exchange, but Porter and assets could be good too. Just saw LMA is only 7M guaranteed in his last year, which is interesting.
Who us you guys and the Celtics do LMA for Hayward and one of their 1sts?
Statistically speaking LMA doing better this year.
this. This FO, while still in the office for the next year or so, is due to give us a few more reasons to cringe
ALL NBA 2nd Team Tbh...
Sell high after tonight![]()
Yes... Anywhere but here, for anyone or any pick
Honestly, I'd take an expiring contract or exemption and 2nd round picks to move him.
I think the Wiz would have interest. I know the Spurs would never do it, but I would offer LM and DeMar for Beal and Porter. Make a separate deal to get a serviceable to acquire another big.
Yeah the forced slavery market
