The Spurs are on the road at Utah tonight. Utah is 11-13. Spurs are 11-12.

Utah is only 2 - 6 at home. They've had a rough schedule with 16 road games out of the first 24.

Utah lost at Miami 102 - 100 in their last game. Miami's Whiteside (23 pts, 20 rebs) won the battle of the bigs against Gobert (12 pts, 18 rebs.)

    Any thoughts on this one?

    Bad timing for the Spurs.
As was bad timing for the Blazers to play the Spurs after those two bloodbaths.

Good thing is that Aldridge will have plenty of room to shoot his fadeaway jumper from 15 feet, against Gobert.

Curious to watch White guarding Mitc .

If the Spurs want to make the playoffs they have to win games like this. Utah has been slumping and is not playing as well as expected. They need to take this game. In fact should they lose this game, that Blazers victory was for nothing.

If you're competing for a playoff spot, that's definitely not the case. But for their sake, winning at the very least 1 of these 2 BSB's is important. Been too inconsistent after a W lately.

The bad news is that Aldridge is only shooting 35% on such shots

    Personnel.

Utah injuries, none. Apparently they're all good to go.

Spurs, Belinelli is ?able with the stiff neck. Gasol out, and Murray of course.

Utah is the team that picked up Kyle Korver. In that Miami game he played 17 minutes but hit only 1 of 5 3pntrs. He played 21 minutes for them in an earlier game at Charlotte and went 4/6 from the arc.

What is with the forum stalkers all of a sudden? Also poor form to waste "bad takes" parody on a post saying "winning is good". You see you should of used the "vanilla takes," parody. I think horny loneliness is causing you to lose your grip on trolling. This is Spurs talk and vanilla trolls aren't going to cut it.

On a similar note, Utah seems less threatening with Mitc regressing. They may have a deeper team, but can they exploit the Spurs poor defense and can DeRozan and LMA produce on the road. Derrick white us big question mark, but I think bertans and poetl are legit now. The Spurs are suddenly deeper and better balanced, but still not great. Final prediction, . 3rd q collapse, rally comes up short

Yeah all of a sudden one wants the team to be serious about winning if they are going to turn things around and everyone is like ehhh no we can continue dropping winnable games and we'll be alright....

I think a few Kiwi fanboys were in a sour mood bc their boy dropped a game last night and they just got to keep trolling about something else too, specially those usernames that you just know it's some trolls alt.

Winning against Portland becomes meaningless if Spurs lose at Utah tonight? Wtf? You sound like an SAGirl fluffer.

Are they accomplishing anything by winning an easy game at home Then going on the road and dropping a winnable game? They aren't going to claw out of the basement if they don't string a few wins together and unfortunately they won't be bad enough to get a high lottery pick either. In addition to that, whatever confidence and momentum they gained after the Portland win evaporates if they go back to losing.

Meaningless regular season games is actually a nice take for the it's only December thread.

BTW, the schedule is weird here. We'll play Utah again, at home, this Sunday.

In between is an away-home b2b against the Fakers. So the game tonight is the first of a b2b, with the second being against the Fakers tomorrow in L.A.

I don't know who's doing the NBA schedule these days, but it looks like something from a junior college computer science nerd who's more interested in video games.

All games are big games for a team that's desperate to get back to .500. That goes for the Spurs and the Jazz tonight. I expect both to play hard. The Spurs haven't had great success in Utah as of late. Will be a tough win if we get it.

The Jazz are awful this year and we’re playing better. I think we take this one on the road comfortably.

    Bizarre.

This injury is exacerbated by playing for a team you really don't want to play for.
    Same as Kawhitter's injury.
