    Except starting Bertans.

    When the game still mattered.
He over played Cunningham and Marco (Cunningham was first off bench).
He didn’t play White with the first teamers.
He didn’t switch high pick and rolls.

The other move that worked in Blazers game was staggering DDR and LA’s time in floor but he didn’t even have a chance to prove that he prob would have went away from this too since game was lost by end of first qtr.

The Blazers game was a combination of fluky shooting + a Portland team that has lost 6 out of 7..

Argument stands if Pop coached the same way and lost. Problem is Pop always has tinkered too much and he continues to do so like its business as usual.

Such drama queens see the writing on the wall we are tanking the quite way. We’re not Mark Cuban who just goes out and say “Hey We Tanking To Get Better”.

We are a Franchise and Fanbase being Held Hostage at this point my dude. Some of us have what they call "Stockholm syndrome" and those people not only include graders on this forum but apparently ownership.
Kawhi didn't have Stockholm syndrome and that's why he wanted to bolt. The organization decided to choose Pop over him. Coaches are obviously more valuable than superstar players.

Pop is early stage Alzheimer's. And RC is just a plain and simple drunk.

Pretty much agree, however, Patty was first off the bench.

The team absolutely should have moved on from Pop last season and brought in a new regime to deal with Number 2.

Instead of dealing with Number 2, they’ve turned into number 2.

Number 2 was going to leave regardless of whether Pop stayed or left. That will be very evident when he leaves Toronto this upcoming summer despite having a coach that bends over for him.

Jazz were also emotional with Korver returning and shooting hot. He's just what they need to get going again. Maybe we'll give away 5 2nd rounders or whatever to get a 37 year old bench spark plug and it will buy us a win.

You have a much clearer crystal ball than I. In my opinion a new regime and a supermax might well have kept Number 2 in a Spurs uniform. (Whether a supermax was worth it is a separate issue.) At any rate, I will never know even if you are certain.

If number 2 signs with the Raptors this summer then I will concede that the Spurs could have kept him but if he leaves then it's clear nothing could have been done. Like I said before Toronto is an ideal situation for him. He has a coach who kisses his ass and bends over for him along with a talented roster. If he still leaves then we know this guy was just bent in going to LA.

There was a report that he wanted some changes if he was going to stay. I'm guessing Pop didn't like his changes.

Like I said in the post before your's that if he re-signs with Toronto then I will believe the Spurs actually had a chance to keep him.

Toronto is less ideal than San Antonio by potentially $40MM or so. But all that matters is that you are convinced in your mind. Like I said I will never be sure.

Toronto winning wise is the best situation for him unless he plans to create a super team. Money wise he will get the same amount just about anywhere.
