just pop being pop. nothing new here. but now we suck because of kawhi so everyone is freaking out that he doesn't care anymore or doesn't understand how to evolve.
obviously he hates the way the game is, but doesn't mean he won't use it to his advantage.
his mistake was not sticking to his mantra "defense first" mentality in the offseason. murray isn't enough to keep at as a top 3 defense. get 1 defensive wing and we would be better.
his years are numbered (as they should be) but his comments are nothing new.
If it were just basketball, then they would not make so much money.
Team that has the personnel to hit threes vs one that does not. Results in blowout.
It’s the new (lame) NBA. It’s gonna be a long season.
Teams are going to push Pops in even more with 3s now after his comments.
Yep. The day of or day after Pop made these comments DAntoni came out and busted 22 on on him.
no, team that has players that can attack the rim creating open spaces for the shooters against one that does not, or team that can defend attempts to attack the rim against one that does not
exactly
IT'S TIME TO ELIMINATE THE NBA'S CORNER THREE
Even four years ago, that wasn’t the case.
No NBA team attempted more than 26 three-pointers per game in 2013–14.
This season, the Houston Rockets attempt 42.2 per game, and
26 of the league’s 30 teams are trying 26-plus per game.
What’s more, Houston averaged more than 50 such shots during the preseason — the NBA’s annual test kitchen.
That onslaught is a clear sign the trend is far from over.

What a great picture and idea
This is a really interesting idea, but I don't see the league ever considering it.
Somewhat similar thing has happened in baseball, where the game has devolved largely into a HR contest. Strikeouts and HRs are way up, stolen bases and small ball in general way down. Less strategy.
The lowest common denominator morons love the long balls.
Most of the media didn’t think Spurs would make the playoffs..including Vegas.
It’s all about your expectations going into the season...and I do believe losing your starting PG literally a week before the season isn’t easily to deal with...
If any team should be getting ripped it’s HOU who 95% of people had 2nd in West. They’re the team extremely underachieving meanwhile Spurs are hovering around most projected
Lost a lot of defensive personel. Lost our best defender from last season. Lost our defensive leader on the floor. No one is communicating like they should in a team defense. Its not like Carlisle has been winning 50+ games this past decade consistently .... Don't want to hear about right guys playing in the right positions from him. Still need talent.
:If you made threes and the other team didn't, you win.
