Won't happen
The state of Okie won't let OU go without taking little bro and I don't think big 10 wants them too.
I don't see any incentive for UT to go.
its seeming legit that ou/ut join big10
no thank you.
If Texas/OU leaves it will be for the Pac 12 to form a Pac 16 with OK state and some other Texas school.
More likely would be the Big 12 look to expand by 2-4 teams in the next 5 years.
Neh don't see it

Anything can happen
Agreed, the PAC-12 has previously shown a willingness to take the lil bro school in exchange for also taking OU or UT, but the more likely scenario is the B12 trying to expand by taking on Houston and another school from the AAC.
Pretty much that.
The trouble with adding Houston is that it doesn't add much TV market that isn't already there.
I'd put money on a USF or UCF joining tbh
That makes less geographic sense but the conference geography seems ed up as it is
pac12 is the worst power 5 conference its in worse shape than the big12
ou/ut are big10 bound
I actually wouldnt be shocked to see the Big 12 court schools like...
FIU
USF
UCF
take two of those florida schools and two other Texas schools.
Though also trying to 'steal' the Arizona schools would be interesting as well...
So Texas tech was not in the south west conference?
But you put Houston in? Do you know the timing of the entries?
Yeah once they added faraway West Virginia that was pretty much it. If they're gonna add someone it's gonna be East.
It might seem crazy on the surface but honestly if Arkansas wanted to be relevant again, it would leave the SEC and join the big 12.
Honestly if Texas and Oklahoma leave the Big 12, they should go back to a 12 or 14 team conference by adding schools to help WVU with distance. Add Cincinatti, Memphis, and USC/UCF. It's a second level conference but it would be good for them. Maybe also add Houston for more media coverage in the H-town area. Another school to consider is BYU who would bring a hefty TV audience.
So basically the big 12 will turn into the conference that Houston is currently in.
Probably not

uh/ucf wont sign the aac gor
And they shouldn't
Add Tulane to get the New Orleans market and great academic standing.
I'm an old guy, when I was in high school one of my high school teammates got a scholarship to play football for SMU, he was pretty good but when SMU got the death penalty he transferred to Tulane and became a star for them. He played about 5 years in the NFL not sure where he is now, we have lost touch. Anyway, I bring it up because that is all I remember about Tulane, I actually have no idea what conference they are in or anything.
They’re in the same conference as Houston, UCF, etc. They actually tied for first in their division with Memphis and Houston but lost out on a weird tiebreaker. They’ll be among the favorites next season to win the division and get in the AAC le game.
Is Tulane a private or public school?
The thing I remember was he always talked about how Tulane was a school of culture vs. LSU was agriculture. Sounded a lot like Texas alum vs. Aggy alum.
