    They said they didn't detect an attempt to deceive at the time of the interview.

    The proof he lied was the recording and transcript of the phone call.

    Actually, that's not what they said. They said that behavioral indicia of lying were absent.

    Not that Flynn was being truthful, but that he wasn't acting like an obvious liar. Flynn later admitted lying, so that kind of renders the opinion of the interrogators moot.
