Not to mention it would probably not be a difficult trade to pull off. I think their are a couple targets that wouldn't need to involve giving up a young player or a first that could help this team

I mean, they also just lack legit NBA talent in the first place. A 3&D player is a big step in the right direction, but there were too many poor decisions over the past few years for one trade to fix them.

which players are you looking at? I initally wanted Demarre Carroll or Trevor Ariza. Not sure who else fits that mold and might be gettable

LMA doesn't have it in him to do this every game. Aldridge's ability to blunt and override Embiid is why the Spurs are winning. I'd also argue that the foul situation is what allowed DeRozan to get going too. Recently, it's been hard for both guys to excel at the same time. Because there was a long stretch with LMA out of the game, DMDR got a time as the first option again and got into a rhythm.
