He sure did. The best thing about it to me was the handle on tbe drive taking his guy to the rim.

Métiu needs to do a better job on boxing out and getting rebounds.
Walker needs to work on the same and also his 3 ball and his free throws (He is not ready Yet)
Soooo... Sarver will do a deal with us... ha
Sweet! A 6'1" and 6' point guards. Nobody plays small like pop.
Another terrible trade by the Spurs.
Austin Spurs at Capital City Gogos (Wow! whata name!) this afternoon at 1430 hrs, CST. Will be televised on NBA TV. A freebie chance to catch LW4, Ben Moore and the rest of the team on national TV! It should keep us entertained until the Big Boys hit the court at 1800, CST at Orlando Magic. GSG!!!
Not every Toros trade is made with the Spurs in mind. The d-league is much more forgiving to small PGs, especially because that tends to be where the talent is in that league. Most of the front-court players with a similar skill level are already with the big clubs. The Toros started off the year with no quality (even for the level of compe ion) guards, and it's hard to develop guys like Metu, Eubanks and even Walker without at least a decent vet supporting cast. I am not all that sad about losing out on Thompson and Livio given how long the team has had to develop those guys and how they still have Metu, Moore and Washburn (and presumably a forward or two coming over next year).
Yeah, basically competent point guards are crucial to the success of any D-League team and the development of any other players there. Even a guy like Ledbetter who will never get close to playing in the NBA is a boon to the Toros.
Brent Barry and Danny Ainge are at the game.
Makes perfect sense. If you want Metu to develop, you got to have competent guards to feed him the ball at the right spots.
You must have not watched Nick Johnson playing the dude has been balling. But I think they brought someone to back him up as he has been playing 40 minutes a game lately.
this team clearly needs better guards. Lonnie Walker doesn't get enough touches, he's especially effective having the ball in his hands and getting to the rim where he can finish through contact. Metu puts up Aldridge like stats but is too turnover prone. Ben Moore has a huge wing span and a stronger frame than Metu. He's very good running the floor in transition. That's the only thing I could take away watching him tonight. But Walker definitely looks like he can play in the NBA and should get minutes
No he is not ready he is very athletic but he still needs to work on fundamentals like free throws, rebounding, defense. Still high on him just not for this season.

Jeff Ledbetter had better stats then Walker.
He's been playing professional basketball a lot longer.
Yeah, I'm not worried about Lonnie's scoring. I really do want to see him with more than one assist, rebound and block. He's not going to help the team as a mediocre midrange glass cannon. I get that he might not handle the ball enough to collect a lot of dimes, but he should be boarding well at least. Again, there's no rush with him still healing, but Austin should be his home for a while yet.
Yep he is freaky athletic but Pop is right to keep him in G League even more so after surgery. I am glad Metu had a complete game meaning scoring and rebounding and team high 6 assist was impressed he is very athletic.
Also Ben Moore with a double 14 rebounds and 13 pts he has potential just needs to work on things but I like him. Brimah also had a double to 10 and 10 with 4 blocks which is pretty cool he did it in only 18 minutes of play time. He is still a project but he is getting better and has put on some much needed muscle.
On a side not you can tell Pop hates the 3 ball game cause no one can shoot it on this team.
