We are now 6th in offense and 18th in defense
Cracked top 10 in net rating too (essentially clustered with Charlotte and Philly in the 8-10 range between +2.1 and +2.5).

Mil (+8.6), Tor, Den, OKC, Bos, Ind, GS (+5.0) are the top seven. But Spurs are making up ground. So essentially playing at the level of the fourth best team out West. I put less faith in the East numbers given how bad the bottom of the conference is.

Never would have imagined Bertans shot could be so wet. He might be our best 3 pt shooter. Mills is playing great. He plays his role to near perfection as long as he does not have to carry a large load. Hits shots at a high clip, energy on both ends, and quick smart decisions with the ball in his hands. Bryn is such a steal at 3.5 M. Glad to see he is showing his potential. He seems like he will be our Gary Neal. Derrick was a bit disappointing in this one for me. It must be really hard being in and out the lineup and playing sporadically with the whole team. He is doing a fair job but his potential shines and disappoints when he can't put it all together.

Playing pg for this team is tough with all these offense first guys when Derrick himself is more comfortable with the ball in his hands for now.
Never watched his highlights from his time in Europe?

Great grades! A fun game to watch on my iPad out on the road. Hoping soon to hear "Houston we have a problem!"

Did. His shot looked beautiful but didn't seem like he made much noise overseas either. He did have a good shooting year the year before he came but the year before that when he played the most he only average .355 from 3. He is relatively young and probably worked his tail off this summer. He is shooting with wreckless abandon now. Trigger is quicker. Love me some Bertans but his defense and rebounding still a lot left to be desired. Hopefully he can bulk up a bit while maintaining his shot like Bryn did.

.491 is equivalent to .73 two point percentage.... he should shoot more!

    Thanks for the grades.

You can tell the players are trusting each other a lot and the ball is swininging around a lot more. Everyone has been playing really well during this streak the only let down right now for me atleast is Derrick White. He’s to passive at times and lacks confidence. But I will remain patient with him he’s still basically a rookie and he shows flashes of promise. On the other hand Bertans confidence is through the roof right now and has one of the purest shots in the league, hopefully it continues. I’m really excited with next year though with a healthy DJ and Lonnie Walker. It’s going to be interesting to say the least especially since all the guards are playing really well right now. Next year it will be Mills, Forbes, White, Marco, DJ, and Lonnie all fighting for minutes. Poeltl play has really been a bright spot this season. He looks like a completely different player from the beginning of the year. His screens are top notch along with his rolling ability and the way he can finesse his moves around the rim to score is really impressive and something I didn’t think he had. The kid just turned 23 a couple months ago. It feels good to have a legit center prospect, next is a SF. Speaking of SF, Rudy Gay is another bright spot he’s really playing hard out there and sometimes is unguardable. Tonight is a big game on the road against the Rockets we will see if they can carry over the momentum on a back to back or will they roll over and drop the ball.

I got Bertaans with a grade somewhere in the "A" category. Forget about the great 3 pt shooting for a moment. Look at how much better he is playing on defense and his improved rebounding. He made a number of 3 pt shots be misdirected or short because of his height and being able to close with the shooter behind the line. He's not to be graded against the best in the league but against his own skills and physical abilities. I think he is bringing his best games lately.

In Europe he was already known as one of the best shooters around. That's why I'm so high on him.

He already takes over ten per 100 possessions. That’s pretty heavy usage. I think Curry is around 15.
