Syria drone strike so presidential, hasty withdrawal, muh Russia!
Trump did it under Putins orders.
Only Iran, Russia & Syria are happy about this - Russia especially.
No one in high military positions knew about this or agrees with this.
Syria drone strike so presidential, hasty withdrawal, muh Russia!
Not as earth-shattering as Mattis, but still significant.
Mattis left because he power was usurped. I don't blame him but let's not pretend he gave 2 s about Syria.
dmc still swallowing. yum yum
Brilliant rhetorical prose
^^^the memetastic DMC twits others for using words.
Are you suggesting Mattis has never felt a Commander in Chief has had authority over him until Trump?
Some people do have conviction...
he's a liar and a thief. only bottom feeders take pride in that. you're in a cult and don't know it.
"earth-shattering"
You're a super educated and knowledgeable guy -- name all the other times a Secretary of Defense resigned in protest of a president's policy.
Make a list.
The list is Jim Mattis and that's it. I'm a historian, and by "historian" I mean that I have access to Wikipedia. As such, I can confirm this is true.
You never say what you mean (or wish to mean). If it's zero, just tell us. It's still not earth-shattering either way, sociopath.
I was asking you since you're so educated.
It's a huge deal no matter what you don't know. McGurk's resignation is international news.
But not "earth-shattering".
Sociopath
I didn't say McGurk's was.
It's still big news.
The Mattis news is indeed earth shattering. I know you live in your little rage bubble safe space, but this week has been a disaster for Trump.
Tell us exactly how the Mattis resignation is earth shattering.
Already did. It's unprecedented in the history of the United States. Dude is one of the most respected generals of his generation.
But you already knew all of this, right?
It's unprecedented that a cabinet member would not share a view with a president and resign? No.

OK, which secretaries of defense have done this in the past?
Let's see your list.
If Mattis was called up by Mueller I don't think you would be lauding his convictions, perhaps hoping for a conviction.
When your boss goes around you abruptly as Trump did in this instance, with total disregard to your opinion on the matter, you'd probably get a bit pissed off about it. If Trump told Mattis "I want us out of Syria by X date" as Obama did in Iraq (which no one on the left seemed to worry so much about), I doubt Mattis quits even if the overall effect in Syria is the same.
You don't pay attention much.
