To be accurate, you've claimed he was screwed in so far as he had a career threatening injury and that he wouldn't ever be the same again.
So if you now claim he's no longer in such a place, you must acknowledge that in fact, he ed the team over last year by faking an injury. Can't have it both ways.

Do you think he's the same player than in 2017?? He's playing at MVP level but he's not that guy...yet. Could be or not...At this point who knows.
He doesn't play b2b because a reason. If he was super-healthy he would play those games...He can't force his quad and his last hip injury looked bad for almost a week.
People here believe he wasn't injured but it's clear he was if we watched the 9 games he played last season and the first 10 of this season
Right now it seems he didn't fake the injury, but exaggerated it to use it as an excuse to abandon the team.
Resting a lot would've been better than just leaving the team.
He's still a great basketball player and I watch Raptors games, but it's very hard to justify his behavior last season.
You're wrong and you know it. But I'll go out on a limb here to show you when I'll be officially able to prove you wrong. Please make sure to pay special attention because if you'll recall, all the criticisms below were heard about the Spurs.
Next offseason, he's going to bolt for LA.
Which means the following: he's going to leave a franchise that is CHAMPIONSHIP quality now; they won 59 games last year and will probably match that this year so his TEAM is really good; they are young and athletic, not full of aging vets that hold team meetings and demand accountability from him; he's in a world class city not some hole backwater (the insinuation his group let out) where he can market himself (recall his new shoe deal); he's got a very easy path to the conference finals in the Eastern Conference each year where he can market himself even more; he's the clear leader of the team (no co-leader LMA type issues for example); he has a young, relatively inexperienced coach that kisses his ass (no demanding meanie like Pop); he's getting lots of personal recognition that he didn't get in SA; he's not being forced to play by a mean front office and bad doctors that belittle him publicly -- in fact, they appear to kiss his ass and demur to everyone of his wishes....
When he leaves the Raptors this offseason, there can be ZERO doubt what he did to the Spurs last year. None. And recall that as recently as like a week ago, his people were leaking that he was still leaning on going to LA next year. They're not going to do to them what he did to the Spurs because he's an unrestricted free agent so there's no need to power play them.

I’m not one to tell people (unless it’s about Kawhi) how to feel. But OP is correct and SA fans are way to hard on LMA. He’s like 99% of stars other than Lebron/Curry; flawed.
He wasn’t always in the best of shape. He’s not Lebron. He asked for a trade. Those are all valid complaints. But stepping back it’s nitpicking.
He chose SA when no other star FA (that wasn’t already on the team) really did. He didn’t cause issues in the community or with the team. He aired his grievances professionally and was open to feedback and stuck with the team in what turned out to be one of the darkest times ever (new generation). He also has proven his value and helped keep SA more than relevant (we got to a WCF with him which many didn’t think possible post Tim).
Beyond that he’s actually worked on his game; came in not known at all for defense and now? He’s had some legit sustained impact on that end.
He has not gone to the media. He kept things in house and even flawed he’s impacted winning more than many all stars. So in that light? Yeah - he’s someone that should be appreciated. Every star, whether a true star or fringe (like the VAST MAJORITY of people called stars) has flaws.
Russ. Harden. AD. List goes on and can call them all overrated chokers based on the LMA criteria.
What's laughable is we're still talking abut kawitter in every thread. Cuckedtalk.com. What's not laughable is Spurs play this 10 game stretch, with 8/10 being wins. The only thing is that only 2 of the games were on the road. Hopefully LMA can keep up the effort on the road. Nuggets game is gonna be a decent barometer.
