what if LMA turn into 2011 dirk? Do we still have a chance at a le this year?

Dirk was also 33 years old when he turns into a monster in the playoffs and won the championship in 2011

2011 Dirk could take Bosh off the dribble from basically any spot on the court. He could create for himself and others on another level. I respect LA’s game but he’s no 2011 Dirk offensively

Is this a joke? Dirk was a legit franchise player while LMA is a 2nd banana tier guy. This is akin to asking if LMA could have a 2003 Duncan type run in the playoffs. The answer is no.

They’re playing style are the same. Dirk is just better in 3pt shooting while LMA is better in rebounding..

People mention that 2011 run but he was already one of only 4 players to average 25 and 10 in the playoffs. The guy definitely raised his game in the playoffs. I haven't checked LMA's numbers but I don't think he has been as consistent. He's had flashes of where he was dominant like against OKC in 2016 but he never maintained that.

What if Aldridge turned into 2003 Duncan? And then DeRozan 1991 Jordan? Then Bertans 1986 Bird?

And if Bryn Forbes could turn into prime Lebron, the Spurs would have a chance too.

That's because he's a big and you can defend them easier than perimeter players. All you need to do is double/swarm them on the block, so they have to pass the ball out. Then it comes down to role players knocking down open shots which in the 2016 OKC series didn't happen

Wishful thinking, but yes. That playoff run from Dirk was one of the most amazing things I'd seen in a long time (basketball-wise). We even got to see the Brandon Roy game while it happened.
