Kawhi is going to bulldoze his way to at least 30 against our wings. Whether he decides to get his teammates involved as well will be the deciding factor in who wins or loses.

It will be interesting to see how Pop guards Kawhi. Does Pop just put a ty defender on and let him get his and try to stop everyone else? I remember he use to do that to Westbrook just let him chuck. The jazz had Joe ingles and Royce O’Neal covering him last night, which he went on to get a career high, but Pascal also had a career high. If the Spurs can neutralize the others and let Kawhi get his the Spurs will be fine because realistically Spurs don’t have a single player that can matchup with him physically but I wouldn’t mind seeing White harass him a couple possessions here and there.
Siakam is virtually unstopable in transition. You cant gameplan against a 6'10 big with handles in transition. They just have to defend him well and hope his lack of experience in his new role makes him miss a few.

Imo spurs should single cover Kawhi and force him to beat them himself. He can score but he is not and never will be a transcendent offensive player like Durant. With Lowry and Valancunias out, Spurs should force Kawhi to handle and create for his teammates. If I recall Toronto is not a great three point shooting team so given the injuries and Kawhis lack of ability to create I think we have a good shot. Hope DG doesn't torch our asses from deep though, that's what I'm afraid of

Ya, Danny is shooting 41% from 3 but the rest of their roster can't shoot.. definitely one of the ways to beat them..

How great would it be if the Spurs gave Danny like a 5 minute tribute and then don't acknowledge the quitter at all.

Your first sentence doesn't relate to the rest of the paragraph, tbh.

I agree with the rest of the paragraph, that's why I think it may be a good idea to double team Kawhi.

I said he's not a transcendent offensive player, so spurs should single cover him and let him beat them himself or trying to get his teammates involved neither of which I think he can pull off. Give me a break homie, I just hit the bowl after a long day at work and gym afterward my thoughts aren't super coherent

Wouldn't be shocked if Siakam has some success guarding LMA tbh. Can't believe I'm gonna miss this game; hope the Spurs destroy Nephew but LDN had a good game.

Kawhi can score 40 on 70 % shooting if we guard him one on one, that's why I would take advantage of the fact that he isn't the best playmaker out there, coupled with the fact that the Raptors aren't a good three pt shooting team, to double him and force other players to beat us.

Force Kawhi to be a playmaker (something he hasn't proved yet that he can be) instead of a scorer (something he's arguably the best at).

The Spurs should win it. They have a few obvious advantages.

Lowry is out, and VanVleet is not very good at trying to run the point. VV is sort of the Raps version of Mills, but not having as good a year shooting as Mills. White should be able to give VV a very hard time.

The Raps are without their starting center.
LMA should dominate in the middle. Poeltl, too.

The Raps are shooting poorly from 3pt range this season. That's not likely to change for this one game.

If the 3s are falling we could see a Spurs blowout.
