That's more than they had in any of the "Beautiful Game" showcases of the 2014 Finals.

    Aldridge: 5 assists
    Gay: 3
    White: 4
    DeRozan: 11
    Forbes: 3
    Belinelli: 2
    Mills: 2
    Bertans: 1
    Poeltl: 1

Comparing this team to that finals team is foolhardy at best.

Pop's philosophy & influence on DeRozan looms pretty large here, turning him into a guy who leads his team in assists per game and approaches the game in a different way. DeMar went from a guy averaging 3.3 assists per game to a guy averaging 6.4 apg. For the record, Tony Parker over his career has averaged just under 6 apg.

simply incredible what a change of atmosphere, team(philosophy & culture), and playing for a HOF coach can do for a player like demar. i'm so impressed with him especially seeing how i thought he'd be like most and need a full season before he gets back to his averages but he has just surpassed anything i could've ever imagined.

same with white and forbes. holy !

This change has also made Forbes and White more useful since neither is (yet) a traditional pass first PG.

Simply not true... Demar averaged 5.2 assists last year... If u watched basketball outside of San Antonio u would know he had already started to do that before pop... No need to act as if pop suddenly made him a passer

Highest apg of his career, highest assists per 36 min, highest assist%, and single highest single game assist total.

dont change the rhetoric now that i proved you wrong...you clearly said: "DeMar went from a guy averaging 3.3 assists per game to a guy averaging 6.4 apg"...thats simply not true...he became more of a playmaker last year...this isnt some new skill that pop created out of thin air...the only reason DDR didnt average more assists last year was because they had lowry...on the spurs he HAS to be the primary playmaker because we have no point guard...if parker or murray was here, he would have been averaging about the same APG as last year
